Sanyo 42"Plasma TV DP42746 No Picture

While I was watching the TV picture went black but still had sound
Now no sound either? Is there any thing I can do this TV is less than 2 yrs old?

If your green light comes on its probley just a series of bad capacitors maybe a $5 fix

A thousand or so people have experienced this problem! I am a military spouse and our same tv did the same thing on Super Bowl Sunday 2009! We did everything we know to do: call the company, called the repair man, etc. There apparently isn't a solution to this that wouldn't cost more than the tv is worth. So I got an attorney to start a class action:

Picture went out when watching it black screen still has good voice

i would suspect the Y-SUSTAIN board as the problem they can fail and the tv will stay on with no video. they way to verify would be to check fuses on the board they are usually white and look like traditional GMA fuses usually located near connectors for power.

How do you know which board to replace in the DP42746.my problem is the same as all others.watching it ,tv goes black.no picture.no sound.sanyo no help..

The power supply boaed is the most common.

There blue in the picture on our sanyo plasma screen tv. It's in the bottom left corner on light backgrounds. When the scene on whatever we are watching is night time and the object is light colored it...

Try hitting the PIP (picture in picture) button on the remote.

DP42746, same as the others!!!!

please never purchase anything with the name sanyo on it again my tv does the same thing now i spent 1500 dollars to have to buy another, should have put that money on a new sony!!!!!!!!! never again i'll tell everyone about these pieces of ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
