These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Hitachi 51UWX20B no sound, no picture, blinking green LED

The 392-150 is a higher current device then the 110---you can use either--this is normal in the hitachi sets---I usually replace both with 150's---check the led that does not light---should indicate which voltage source is bad---if it is one of the 2 voltages for the convergence ic's(one is a positive and the other a negative voltage) then the convergence Ic's may be bad---look for any discolored resistors around the ic's---one way to tell if it is a convergence ic is to de-solder both ic's and see if the set turns on(the convergence will be out the window) but if it comes on change both and do the alignments with the Hitachi remote. By the way----the led should have a location number printed on the top of the circuit board.
