Some TV's have tuners that do a better job of rejecting interference than others. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do about it, other than to identify and eliminate the source of interference.

What specific model of JVC multi-system TV do you have? What is the signal source?

The majority of the JVC multi-system TVs that I've researched only have analog tuners (NTSC, PAL). The AV-29LX is an example of the older JVC TVs. Since most over-the-air signals are digital, you will need a digital-to-analog OTA signal converter to watch any signal from an aerial TV. If you have a cable system that has upgraded to digital cable, you will need a cable box.

Converter boxes are harder to find but there are a few remaining. Here's one for the US: http://www.amazon.com/Magnavox-DTV-Digital-Analog-Converter/dp/B0013ZKZGU .

I wish that I had better news for you.

(A few low-power stations still broadcast in the analog format. However, you have to be really close to the station or have an outdoor antenna to have a chance at receiving the signal.)

JVC TV Blue screen No remote

To select the source you must have its remote control. There is no TV/AV source select button at the front panel of this TV.

JVC AV-27S33 only displays black and white (Color gone) Menus are still in color!

Check its color system adjustments. It will be best to make a factory reset to this set. Just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it after 10 minutes of so. This must make your TV a hard reset. If this do not help you, the chroma section circuits of your TV need to be checked for fault/s. This is a skilled work, and it will be best to contact any experienced service technician.

Picture on tv JVC 27" AV-27530 is getting to dark to enjoy. During dark scenes you can't see much. Have tried adjusting controls and settings to no avail. Any solution greatly appreciated.

I have the AV-27S33 model and in the rear to the right of the inputs are two slits and inside these slits are two screws. The top screw is the focus, the bottom the brightness.Your tv is a different model but it may have this same adjustment,if it does try turning the bottom screw to the right to increase the brightness.

DO I NEED A DIGITAL CONVERTER TO OPERATE A 4 YEAR OLD JVC MODEL AV-32D305 WITH AN ANTENNA?

If you have cable running to your house, cable still uses RF and older TVs work fine. The problem comes when you try to grab stations from the air. The signal is still UHF, but the information riding on that UHF signal is digital, and will need a converter box to turn it back to analog so your older TV will understand it. . Cable: None needed. . Antenna: Need a box.

Blue Screen

Hello,
I just wanted to suggest some things for you to try, if you have not done them already. Try hooking up a known good signal, such as the main input cable from your cable or dish, hook it straight to your tv, and see if you can change channels, and get a picture on low band...2 thru 6, and then if not, how about any picture above channel 6, if you get picture on 2 thru 13 now, it could be whatever you have hooked in between the input cable and the tv...be sure you have the tv on the right channel for your receiver, usually 3 or 4, or if you are using another type of video input cable, make sure you have tv on the right input for that cable and that cable is good...check the in and out of your component unit, for correct cable hookup as well as your cables, in reference to using RCA video and audio left and right in and out...a lot of sets and vcr's will go to a blue screen if they lose signal to them....I hope this helps you out some.If you cannot get a picture from hooking your signal straight to your tv, it could be the tuner got a spike from a thunderstorm, or has lost the B Plus source for the tuner circuit. Be sure that it is not selected for an input signal, other than the cable or antenna mode, the onscreen text should verify this, if you can change channels with or without getting video...a picture....Good luck with it. T.

I've found several bad solder joints on the neck board of my JVC 32' leading to the exact same issues as yours. Inspect the Driver resistor solder on the neck board.
