Hoover 2305 washine machine wont spin

I have a hoover 2305 7kg washing machine and it just wont go into any spin cycle at all. I can switch it off for 12hrs and still nothing it will do every other cycle fine except spin.

Wont spin, I can hear the 'electrics' humming though. Have been informed it is the capacator, but the ident markings have rubbed off. I need to find teh capacator rating.

I have a Hoover topload washer that will not spin, do they have an outlet filter or is this just in front load washers?

I know the problem, it's the solenoid on the belt tensioner for the spin that is kaput.
But I can't find the part on the web. The machine was delivered here from Australia.

Anybody know how I can find this part?

Hi, i have a hoover 500 mb, occasionally it will not [ click into ] the wash cycle, then gets confused and does not spin dry properly

Possible your outlet filter is blocked, locate and clean it out. It need periodic cleaning according to usage. Most front loaders have the 4 inch by 4 inch door in the front, below.

sounds like maybe a thrust bearing in the hub at bottom of agitator not engaging? are u saying the hub does not spin but the agitator moves?

This could be a problem in the pump or in the timer circuit, but since you say that it cycles normally I would guess that the drain pump has went out on this unit.

The 7kg hoover will wash then stop agitating

There can be many reasons why the machine does not agitate. If it does not complete the cycle, then it can be a problem with the timer control, see The cycle doesn't advance .
If cycle goes on, but does not agitate, it can be the agitator and more, see It doesn't agitate or There's no delicate or regular spin or agitate

try to check the pumpbelt maybe it is loosen already.. by opening the back cover of the washine machine you can see the motor with pumpbelt attached to it that makes the machine spin..

Hoover six express wont spin

all hoover machines spin in a clockwise direction the fact that you say the machine only washes in an anti-clockwise direction is a good indication that the reversing switches have failed (these provide the switching to drive the motor in either direction) if your machine uses a mechanical type programme timer this has failed if it it is a processor controlled machine it will be the motor drive card will need to be replaced either way not a diy task

Your problem could be caused the interlock but it could also be that the machine is failing to drain in the time alllowed and therefore the machine will not spin, before buying a lock check the sump hose and pump area for blockages.
