Light came on for about 10 secs then started flashing.took batteries out,put them back in and then when it came on it looked like a strobe light..then turned off..I now cannot make it come back on.

The strobe effect is an indication of insufficient contact at either the positive terminal or negative terminal. Check terminals for a tension (pressure) against the batteries.

WELLTECH 40699 FKH51A repair

I the red led only comes on dimly, the new batteries are suspect, or they are not charged. You need to establish if its the headphones or the batteries at fault. To check the headphones remove the batteries and connect up some none rechargeable battery of the same voltage to the headphone battery connections. To check the batteries use a multimeter to measure the voltage at their terminals while they are out of the headphones. If its low compared to the value printed on them, you can either try more new batteries again, or replace the headphones completely.

Speakers on new dell Studio Laptop 1737 crackle and pop

Likely, what you are experiencing is the fact that the batteries in your speaker are running low. The sound of this speaker – as with any battery operated device – is reliant on fully-charged batteries. When the charge gets too low, you will experience sound distortion or abnormalities. Just put in fresh batteries, and you should be all set.

I had similar problem with my Minolta camera. There is no way to fight with them. DO NOT DEAL WITH SONY ANYMORE, my best answer. It looks like Sony has special position on support own products. We have to start consumer's protection company against of SONY. Personally, I used to sped more then $10,000 to by Sony's staff, if it works - it works, otherwise you are in trouble if you do not have extended warranty. NEVER BUY SONY!
