Coby kyros 7024 Wont charge

During a long trip by car i used my kyros with an offbrand car charger, however, i forgot to set the charger to the proper voltage ( was around 12v when the kyros charger port says 9v) after that the tablet wont charge, the only result when i put the charger in is that both the red flashing"charging light" and the static blue "done charging light" are on at the same time. I realice that a part of the tablet is broken, and have found a shop that can fix it for me, however, they want me to locate the part thats broken and get that part from kyros before i bring the tablet to the shop. Do anyone know whats wrong, and the name of the part that needs replacing? Kyros wont return my emails about the subject. kind regards Alfred
