My iphone, ipad, ps3 and samsung galaxy when connected to the router only recieve internet for 5mins maximum and then drops out. The only thing that works is my lenovo laptop which has a stable connected. Had a day of problems with the router and had to reset and adjust settings, since that day this dropping out has happened. Also the internet light on the router is red. If i turn my wi-fi off and on the internet works again but only for a 5min period.

Hi,
Could be multiple reasons
Check the signal type
Play around with the Channel and see what connects better
Check the server time out
Ensure u dont have a limitation on number of IPs
Connect without wifi password, change type if works

Cheers
Eddie

SOURCE: Internet connection keeps dropping

Two possible reasons

If you have hidden your network name (SSID) in the wireless configuration in the router and use WEP or WPA security there may be a bug that can result in extended disconnect periods. Recommended solution unhide the SSID and keep the WEP or WPA security.

Second there are numerous wireless devices in use. Keep your wireless phone base station away from your wireless router. Try changing the channel your router's radio uses to transmit -- Channels 1, 6 and 11 are preferred. Try one you are not using, if that does not work try the other. (If you can see the surrounding channels in you connection wizard you may want to start with one no one else is using)

SOURCE: Dlink WBR 2310 cannot connec to internet

Try to bypass the router and connect to your modem. Make sure you have Internet connection.
>If you have Internet connection. connect back your modem to the router.
>access the configuration page of your router.
>If you are given a specific IP by your Internet Service Provider, use that one.
>Login to your Dlink (type in on the address bar 192.168.0.1)
>Click Setup and Internet > Click on Manual Configure
>My Internet connection would be Static IP
>Type in your IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary and Alternate DNS
>Click on Save Setting on top.

but if your Internet Service Provider did not provide you those informations
> Under My Internet connection Type choose DYNAMIC IP
>Click on Clone Your PC MAC address
>Click on Save Settings
>If it ask you to reboot, click on Reboot.

>At the very top click on Status
>Under Status look for WAN
>Under WAN look for IP address
>If you have values beside from zero it means you have Internet connection otherwise, call your dlink manufacturer for manual configuring your router for Internet connection.

My router was working fine with my iphone and ipad , now it will not connect and i still have a connection with my ps3

If you reset the router and have not turned off and back on all your devices you probably have conflicting addresses. some versions of ps3 will not connect for some reason unless they have the first ip available on the router.
Turn off your wirelss on your iphone and ipad, turn off the ps3. Reboot the router when it comes back up turn on the ps3 and get a good connection, the enable wireless on your ipad or iphone and get a connection the doe the same with the other.
This will avoid conflicting addresses.
An IP address has a 24 hour lease if you reboot a router it forgets what device had whipch ip address. If you need to reboot your router you need to refresh the ip address of all your devices to avoid conflicting ip's.
In this case I suspect you ipad and iphone are attempting to use the same ip address.

Samsung tab keeps dropping wgt624

You are losing the signal? If you move about the area reception will differ. I'm not sure what your question is? May things will cause a signal loss. The device location, device antenna, interference, Wireless Channel, etc. Is the wireless secured? Change NetGear Channels.

Galaxy mini wont connect to wifi

Versions of Android that I use Will not connect to an AD HOC Network. My suggestion is to download and install Virtual Router Manger v0.9 Beta on your PC, TRUST ME, you will not regret it. Got my Samsung Mini Galaxy connected within minutes after installation.

On a side/bonus note: on your phone, download and install "AirDroid". Once installed and started, go to your PC and open an internet browser OTHER THAN Internet Explorer. i.e. Firefox... from there, connect to the address listed in AirDroid and you can manage/copy files/update contacts/create messages ALL through a web browser on your PC and it will send it to your phone, WIRELESS... GENIUS!!

Random wi-fi dropping

Go to the linksys website, see if they have a firmware flash for the router, that may help in some connectivity issues. You may also find that the ipad/iphone may drop connections when battery levels are low

Call drop out after 5mins 30 secs

Hi Youradickhead, I have experienced similar problems previously with Telstra and it was not due to the D-link as far as could verify. It seemed to me that Telstra was able to detect that you were using your internet connection for phone conversations and drop your line. Alternatively it may have to do with the filters that they provide. Try it without the filter, i.e. connect your modem cable straight into the socket (cable port).
Cheers.
