SOURCE: Just bought a Leisure Gourmet Classic gas cooker.

I had a similar problem when my new Leisure cooker was installed last December. The burners would light when I held the knobs in but when I let go the flame would go out. The engineer took off each of the burner knobs and stuck a small wad of aluminium foil between the inside of the knob and the contact on the front of the cooker - he said it's a design fault and the gap is just a bit too large for contact to be made reliably. This fixed the problem and I've had no trouble since.

It could be the flame failure device our Cannon had the same problem

This question also edited for clarity. 'make model (what it is)' first. Proper names with capital letters too. :>D

It needs a new thermostat. this has to be done by a registered gas technician, so call for service.

Spark box is repeating its self check elcetode not cracked . Could well be a new spark box needed

Instructions for lighting grill for Leisure Cooker GR6GV MKII

Have your flame next to the pilot light before turning on. Hold pilot knob in while lighting. Hold it in for about 30 seconds once it is lit. Then you can turn it to the on position and set the temp.

I have a Beko 'Leisure alta AL6ND' oven. The thermocouple has gone in the oven (ignites but not staying lit, all other burners and grill fine). I can get the back off easily, but the thermocouple screws in...

remove rear panels (3; 1 white, 2 galvanised).
look under rear folded edge of hob. remove 2 screws in corners. dont lose 2 top hat rubber washers. from rear of cooker, lift hob slightly and push forward 1/2". lift hob off. dont over tighten new thermocouple union on back of valve (note how tight old one was)
