Jamo Sub300. No power. No lights

Replaced the blown fuse (230V 800mA). Box shows no life what so ever.

Could not find the wiring diagram to check the power supply unit.

  • kushanthad Jan 05, 2009

Hi Thanks for the post. The box has no warranty as it's bought overseas. Checked with the dealer here and they confirmed it has no warranty.

Yes. It's definitely looks like a power supply issue. problem is I dont have a wiring diagram to check.

It has only 2 leads, no ground.

Well it would void the warrantee, but you can take the back panel off and the power supply will only have two leads (3 if grounded) in from the plug, and out to the crossover. It sounds as if you are correct that the power supply is bad.

so if you have the back panel off, and the unit plugged in, you will be able to read 115 or so volts right at the solder points. then those wires will go into the power supply. test them where they go in, and where they go out and give me a voltage. do not worry about positive and negative, the meter will just give a -115 if its backwards. Smell the unit, usually you can smell a burnt smell if its blown.

No power going into my 1988 Winnebago LeSharo.

No power anywhere, no lights, nothing? Check the battery polarity, Red to plus +, black to minus -

Relays normally fit into a socket, so you can't get that wrong.

The starter has a big red wire and a small red wire. Difficult to mix those up.

Did you disconnect the battery? Does it have an alarm and immobilizer?

2001 cherokee laredo cigar lighter and power outlet not working. blown fuses replaced, still not working. power outlet fuse i pdc checked and good. could cigar lighter relay be bad?

No , can't be the relay , by looking at a wiring diagram the power outlet has different supply voltage . Fuse 1 25 amp is for power outlet an cigar lighter use's fuse # 2 25 amp. Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb/ Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on interior & driver amenity, then under subsystem click on cigar lighter . Click the search button , then the blue link. Looking at the diagram you will see they have different fuse's. Something up stream from there is blown . Need to look at electrical distribution diagrams. Go back to system an click on electrical distribution then under subsystem click on power distribution . Click the search button then the blue link. Scroll down to the # 6 diagram . You will see fuse # 4 50 amp location is under hood fuse box . Check that fuse .

Check the fuses in the power distribution box and the bulb sockets for burning if you don't have diagrams go to ford owners manual.com and register for free then download the manual then go to roadside emergencies and your fuse box diagrams and values are in there and keep it on your phone / computer and print what you need also check the fuse for the shift interlock

Which fuse in the fuse box is for the power windows

Check fuses on panel, then check all connectors, check for kinked or frayed wire, then lastly, the circuit board for your panel! Not an easy task as you are checking for continuity between connections. If its the circuit board on your arm rest I would suggest a junk yard for a known good operating board. Make sure they have some type of guarantee as these are expensive new! Hope this helps Interior Fuse Box Location 2003 2009 Lexus GX470 2007 Lexus GX470 4 7L V8
The video above shows how to replace blown fuses in the interior fuse box of your 2007 Lexus GX470 in addition to the fuse panel diagram location. Electrical components such as your map light, radio, heated seats, high beams, power windows all have fuses and if they suddenly stop working, chances are you have a fuse that has blown out. If your GX470 is experiencing electrical problems, you should always check the fuses first, because they are relatively easy to check and cheap to change. Some Lexuss have multiple interior fuse boxes including in the trunk - the video above will show you where the interior fuse box of your 2007 GX470 is located. If your GX470 has many options like a sunroof, navigation, heated seats, etc, the more fuses it has. Some components may have multiple fuses, so make sure you check all of the fuses that are linked to the component in question.

If you need to replace a blown fuse in your GX470, make sure you replace it with one that has the same amperage as the blown fuse. If checking and replacing the fuse for the component in question doesn't work, we recommend seeking assistance from a trusted professional mechanic. They should be able to figure out if the component needs to be replaced or if there is a short or some other problem with your GX470.

Bad DOG! Break out the checkbook, you may have blown the computer. Need to start there. Not sure if there is reverse polarity diode protection or not. Have it checked. Even at a scrap yard they won't be cheap.

Jamo i300 dies after powercut

If its out of warranty you might as well open it up , and if your lucky it might only be a fuse to replace , if it is fused inside it will probably have blown before it could do any damage to circiuts . hope this helps
