The back doesn't come off. On the back beside the cord hookup and beside Channel 1 Input are screws. You unscrew the two screws on either side. You then have four screws on the top of the amplifier. Unscrew those four screws and pull them out, six screws in total, then the amplifier will pull right out. You then pull the plug that attaches the speaker to the circuit board off and then you can do any kind of Maintenance or anything you want to the KB2

SOURCE: Peavey KB 100 Keyboard Amplifier How to remove chassis?

I figured this out myself. I was just babying it too much. Some tolex had bunched up between the metal chassis and the cabinet making it feel like it was caught on something. I used a flat edge screwdriver to flatten out the tolex, and then I was able to pull the chassis out the back of the cabinet.

SOURCE: No sound will come out

It sounds like to me that you blew the speaker. We here at Pro Line Music are Peavey dealers. If you can not check for continuity of the speaker you can bring or send it in. 215-736-8055

Screams loudly when turned on. Knobs at o, nothing connected to it.

How long have you had the KB2?
These are hardware problems. There may be broken solder joints, connections to ground loose / broken, the power-amp circuit (LM3886) is damaged etc. Check carefully. Disconnect the electrical contacts before checking out. Reflowing all of the solder joints.25897496-xykdzr1cdriwl1tmr4ngy0qt-3-0.jpg

Peavey Vypyr 100 stops working after 3 months of ownership, what's wrong?

Sounds like you blew a fuse. You should locate the fuse and replace it. It might just be the fuse, but fuses usually when something's very wrong.
Try replacing the fuse. You might be lucky.

Where 's the fuse for my kb 100/200 watt amplifier

The fuse is INSIDE the unit and if it blows, then there are other damaged components that require going to a repair shop to repair before replacing the fuse.

The solder at the connector may be broken loose or a circuit board could have a crack OR the jack may be broken... this is a common problem because the users trip over cables yanking the jack sideways. Take in for repair if you are not electronically adept.

Im trying to connect a peavey kb300 with a mackie micro series 1402-VLZ 14 channel mic/line mixer

The mixer is stereo and the amp is mono. The line level out of the mixer MAY overwhelm the KB2 regular inputs so try running the mixer into the PA input jack.

Peavey Rage 158 guitar amp

I don't believe there is a power "outlet" on this, only an "inlet".

Usually the inlet will have a lead, often green, that goes to the chassis.

There will usually be two other wires, often black and white that connect to the other two pins.

From the back of the connector, with the center pin tied to the grenn wire of the triangle lower, the pin to the right should be the white and the pin to the left is the black wire
