Hello,

Nokia designed the N97 with a touch-screen calibration program to remedy problems with the touch screen. Opening the touch-screen calibration program requires you to use the touch screen, which can prove difficult. You're forced to judge where to tap the screen because the screen isn't recording the precise location of your taps. To find the touch-screen calibration program, open the main menu, select "Settings" and then "Touch Input." The program provides on-screen instructions to help you finish calibrating the screen.

I have a yamaha mo6 keyboard and the touch sensitivity has gone. How can i retrieve it?

If the touch sensitivity on your Yamaha MO6 keyboard has stopped working, there could be several possible causes for this issue. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the touch sensitivity setting: Make sure that the touch sensitivity setting on the keyboard is turned on. The touch sensitivity function may have been turned off accidentally or may have been set to a low sensitivity level.
  2. Check the keyboard's firmware: Make sure that the keyboard's firmware is up to date. If the firmware is out of date, it may cause issues with the touch sensitivity function.
  3. Check the keyboard's connections: Make sure that all connections to the keyboard are secure and that there are no loose or damaged cables.
  4. Check the keyboard's internal components: If the keyboard has been subjected to moisture or has been dropped, it is possible that the internal components may be damaged. If you suspect that the touch sensitivity problem is caused by a hardware issue, it may be necessary to have the keyboard inspected by a professional.
If these steps do not resolve the problem, it may be necessary to contact Yamaha customer support for further assistance. They should be able to provide more specific troubleshooting steps based on the make and model of your keyboard.

Where is pc settings/ calabrate located in lenovo c260

From page 21 of the user manual, "The monitor is touch-sensitive thanks to its touch-sensitive screen. A touch screen is an input device just like a mouse or a keyboard, and the user's fingers transmit position information via the touch screen to the computer. With this technology, you only need to touch the pictures or words on the computer display lightly with your finger, and the computer will react. Touch Screen Calibration Prior to first use or whenever the touch screen reacts in a different place where you are touching it, start the calibration program. The procedure is as follows: 1. In Control Panel, select "Hardware and Sound". 2. In "Hardware and Sound" window, select "Tablet PC Settings". 3. In "Tablet PC Settings" dialogue, click "Calibrate" button. User Gesture Instructions for the Touch screen The Touch screen supports single touch and rotational movements, enlargement and reduction multi-touch operations, and the user can transmit position information to the computer via touch. The touch screen uses a very low pressure movement recognition method, which only needs the finger to move lightly on the computer display screen or make a simple hand gesture to be detected by the main computer processor. 16 User Guide 31506537 C260 UG V1.0 (Win8.1)(EN)(R).indb 16 2013-12-6 11:54:06

The cursor jumps from line or field on its own...I could typing away and before I know it, the cursor has moved to another field or to the middle of another word! real pain in the ****

You will probably want to adjust the pressure sensitivity on your laptop's touch pad to alleviate this problem. If you have Windows, enter the control panel from the start menu.

1. START > Control Panel
2. Find Mouse or Pointing Devices.
3. Enter the Pointing Devices Control Panel.
Things can vary a bit in this section. So you should look for anything that deals with Pressure settings or Pointing Settings. One setting should be labeled "Touch Sensitivity." This setting controls how much pressure is required on the touch pad.
-If you move the setting lower (or move the slider to the left) this decreases the sensitivity. It is harder to accidently move the cursor if you brush the touchpad while typing.
-If you move the setting higher (or move the slider to the right) this increases the sensitivity. It is easier to accidently move the cursor if you brush the touchpad while typing.
(Note that in some configurations, these are opposite - left to increase senstivity and right to decrease sensitivity).

Depending on your laptop there may also be a setting labeled Touchpad Pressure. It's a setting that resgisters if you are accidently leaning on the touch pad. It's designed to reduce the chance of accidental clicks or motions. This setting is generally controlled the same way the Touchpad Sensitivity setting is controlled, through left-right sliders. I've found that keeping the touchpad sensitivity low makes it easier to avoid accidental cursor motions. I also keep the Pressure setting relatively high as well. One thing you'll note that if you adjust these settings to far into one extreme or the other, you will have difficulty using your touchpad. Fine tune these two setting until you achieve the results you want.

The curser keeps jumping from the current spot back to somewhere where I've already typed

Are you relatively new to this laptop?

I'm asking, because I suspect that you suffer from the same problem many laptop users have, namely too sensitive touchpad. I myself had this problem with one or two laptops...
When you keep your hands low and parallel to the keyboard, it sometimes happens that when moving the hand slightly to reach keys in the upper keyboard regions, the base of your thumb just barely touches the touchpad, resulting in moving the cursor :) The base of a thumb is protruding lower than the thumb itself, and is not very sensitive to touch, so one does not feel the base barely sliding up the touchpad.
There are two solutions.
First is to go to touchpad settings, and make it less sensitive to light touch. Better yet, some touchpad drivers have a function to prevent from accidental dragging objects by light touch, which needs to be enabled.
If the driver lacks such adjustments, the only remedy is to try and position the hands a bit higher than you currently do. It may be hard at first, but it's relatively easy to form a habit of it :)
Good luck :)
