I have a HP 2575 photosmart all-in-one printer scanner and copier and it has always worked fine and now I can't scan anything. I get the error message "No scan options" Refere to device documentation to trouble shoot. Help. I can't find it anywhere in the instruction manual.

I had this problem also and came to find out that in order to scan, you have to go into your "PAINT" and go to "FILE" and scroll down to "FROM SCANNER OR PRINTER" and then follow the instructions. It works!
The most common causes of this issue are 1: you do not have the software installed on your computer (or you need an updated version form the HP web-site) and/or 2: you are connecting to the printer over a network and your firewall is stopping the printer from accessing the HP software on your computer.
A little more info would be helpful in diagnosing the problem;
What Operating System is your computer running?
Is your computer connected to the printer via USB or over a network?
Do you have the latest HP software installed?
Do you have more than one printer, scanner or all in one device connected to your computer?
Has the printer always had this problem or has it worked before?
