Sylvania ld320ssx not recognizing hdmi for macbook

The first time a connected the TV to my Macbook Pro, via HDMI and adapter, the tv went to static and then the connection was successful. I have since unplugged the cable, moved the TV to a different location, and have tried to reconnect. Unfortunately, only the Macbook Pro seems to respond (a temporary flashing blue screen), but the TV does not want to cooperate. Any suggestions? Is it possible to reset the TV settings? **The HDMI cable works when I connect it with to Windows supported laptops.

SOURCE: PS3 (Pal) won't connect to Sylvania HD TV

I just figured it out last night - if you have used your playstation on an hd tv previously, it is set at the highest resolution possible - 1080p. You need to take it back to that tv, and go to display settings on your tv. If you select HDMI as they type of connection you'd like to make, it asks you what resolution your tv supports. In your tv instruction guide, it should give you this information. Check mark all of the resolutions your tv supports, making sure not to confuse 1080i and 1080p. After doing this you can take it back to your other television and it should work.

How to Fix MacBook Pro HDMI Not Working?

Having trouble with your HDMI port not detecting your monitors or TVs all of a sudden? Go to system preferences -- Click Display - Hold down the alt option key -- click the newly revealed Detect Displays button on the bottom right of the Display settings panel. That should solve 90% to 99% of issues if your cables and Macbook pro are good. This happens to me all the time when I try to plugin to a 4K tv at the office which is the exact same model I have at home. The one at home works while the one at the office never auto detects. If this did not fix your issue, check that your Macbook Pro HDMI port and HDMI cable ends are clean and free from debri and not damaged, double check that your HDMI cable is working on other devices, make sure your TV or display is powered ON, check that your HDMI cable is securely and fully seated, check that you're on the right input on your TV or Display, make sure the cable is not too long because HDMI has length limits depending on the cable and devices, and then force detect display again on your Macbook pro. If this still did not work, when it worked before. It's likely that your Macbook Pro, TV, or Macbook Pro HDMI port is acting up. I'd recommend taking in your Macbook Pro to the Apple store at that point to get diagnosed. Hope this helped

What might be the problem since my macbook pro is connected to the projector through a HDMI to VGA adapter, yet the screen remains black?

Vga and hdmi are different formats. Unless you are using a coverter box that translates the data from one format to another it won't work. Vga is analog and hdmi is digital

What cable is needed to stream Netflix to a Macbook?

If you want to use a TV as a secondary or mirrored monitor. All you would need is a Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter. Use the adapter to connect an HDMI cable between your computer and the TV. Once connected you will have an option to use it as a secondary or mirrored (exact copy of what is on your laptop) monitor. If you have one of the newer macbook pros you need a Mini Display port to HDMI adapter.

How to stream media from macbook pro to lg smart tv

From what I can see, there is no way to stream to this TV from any computer. You'll most likely have to buy an adapter cable to allow you to connect your Macbook Pro to one of the HDMI ports of the TV.

I am trying to connect my macbook pro computer to my Panasonic Viera using a VGA > HDMI converter, connected through to the HDMI port on the TV. The TV screen remains black on the HDMI setting. I...

On the MacBook, check the Displays pane in System Preferences to make sure the settings for the external monitor are correct. It's possible that the system is not recognizing the adapter or it has the wrong resolution setting, so it's not sending out any signal that the adapter can use.

Many of the better DVD players and high-end video game consoles use HDMI. You can use one of those as a test signal generator to check the TV.

You may get better results if you use a DVI-HDMI converter, although you would need to get the DisplayPort to DVI cable. This will avoid converting to analog VGA signals and back to digital again.

Macbook recognizes dell projector, but not vice versa

Hello,
Your Macbook should automaticaly find the best resolution, if everything was OK. Is there any HDMI input on the dell projector? What projector is it? Is there is an HDMI input, you can use a HDMI to mini DVI cable: better picture and sound than VGA, and will probably solve your problem
