I have a Panasonic KX-TCD580(ES) Base Unit, and am not using the my the handset which came with it, because it crackles too much. I stupidly deregistered the handset, and have now registered 6 other handsets, how do I reset the base manually so that I can administrate the base with the handset which came with it?
Go to this link; http://panasonic.co.uk/customer-Support/download-centre.asp and input "KXTCD580" in the search box - after a few disclaimer screens you get to the manual for your phone. page 29 details reset for the handset Page 32 details base unit reset Page 48/49 details cancelling handsets to the base Hope this helps, please post again if you are still having problems with your phone :)

Thank you. I have checked through manual. The problem is that I do not have KX-TCD560E (the original handset), registered to the base. It broke. I registered new handsets and have no space to register another KX-TCD560E.
I do have some 2 Panasonic KXTGA711E's registered as handsets 5 & 6, but they cannot be de-registered.
The only way to de-register handsets that I know of is to use a registered KX-TCD560E.
I can get a 560 from my father but the issue is registering to the base - it will be the 7th handset! There must be away of doing a hard-reset on the base unit? There is a tab on the back of the unit which when removed reveals a circuit board with 4 cooper circles. Does anyone know how to hard reset the unit or get round the problem I am having?

When trying to make a call or receive call, we only hear static on the handset. Callers in only hear static as well. Have reset the base station and the removed the batteries from the handsets and reregistered.
