After about a month with this brand new machine it is telling me to ventilate, but when I try to it will not let any water out of the frother. The machine will make an espresso but not froth or release water out of the frother. It does not need to be descaled. Yes I can send it back to the company, but I bought it so when my sister who LOVES latte's is here she could use it, she is coming TODAY. Is there any DIY fixes??
VENTILATE ERROR at 27,211 brew cycles on 12/31/22. I read that a stuck Flow Meter might be the cause of the error. A Factory Reset was suggested, so I did that and the Ventilate Error cleared, but it returned on the 1st brew cycle. Since the pump works fine and I had nothing to lose, I continued Ventilating and let the water tank empty, so it really needed to Ventilate. Started with 1 liter of the hottest tap water available, I allowed the tank to empty and then Ventilated using 1.5 liters of boiling water. The Flow Meter must have cleared because I was offered Hot Water or Steam. In the end, the machine is working fine. I had to re-program all of the settings because of the Factory Reset, but my machine lives on. 2023 here we come.
SOURCE: How do you correct and clear the ventilate message
A tech just walked me thru one fix. If it is stuck on ventilate it could be just because the value is stuck. He instructed, quickly open the value. As soon as it makes the "hum" pull off the silver knob and push hard on the beige button as if you are pushing it to the other side of the machine. For me this worked!

There are 2 inserts pins in the steamvalve assembly, they need to be replaced replace. Easiest solution order a new valve assembly.

Hi
If you are talking about the descale light you must let the machine quit on its own. The lights will change. Then do the rinse by replacing the water in the tank and closing and then reopening the steam knob and again letting the machine quit on its own. Again the lights will change. Then repeat the last cycle until all the red lights go away and you only have a green blinking light. Stopping it when it is out of water will only let it continue on with the descale cycle. The pump must quit on its own.

Check the end of the steam nozzle, make sure it is not blocked. If not then with the knob open for hot water cycle push in on the knob if that works then the tap rod assemble or the steam valve needs to be replaced.

Just try to pour some hot water out from the steam wand after some seconds the veltilate massage will go out.
Good luck
Testimonial: "Thanks for the advice. I have tried this but it did not work. In deed, the "Ventilate" message came back even during the machine was running the hot water. "
