    Thanks for your reply however the error code I'm interested in is F2-40 not F2-04. Let me know if you have information for this code.

I had the same error message F2-04 in my 5516 the copier does not recognise the tonner boloc i exchange the little chip at the rear end of the tonner blc whith an old one and it did work!

According the manual F2-04 means drum data read problem,may be it can be reset why don't give a try;
1, power on,
2, press "clear","interupt", "0", "interupt"
3, press 14 prss start
4, press clear

We have bought this machine on Date-28/07/2011 and it is still in warrenty. now already 11,000 copies put it And the now machine shows F2 indication after starting and the company not repairing it. And the after sell service of company is not good.We tell the company to change the the machine or repair and they neither repairing it nor changing the part.
