I need a workshop manual for a 1995 Honda 90 HP outboard motor any ideas on where to get one? Online preferable. Im working on the gearbox at present. So even the section on how to align and set up the gear change, etc etc I have a schematic diagram from a spare parts manual
We bought the Clymer Honda outboard shop manual (B757) which covers Honda 2-130 HP from 1979 to 1999.
It was $20 and worth every penny.

SOURCE: need oil change in water
If its a 2 stroke, there is no oil to change, if its a 4 stroke, you can pump the oil out with a small diameter tube pump.Depending on the motor, you can get it through the dipstick or the fill opening. If you need to change the gear oil, there is no way to change it while in the water. Stop by a marine supply store and get some oil absorbsion pads (diapers) in case you happen to spill any oil into the water

If the gear lever is loose,it's the gear connection rod that you disconnect to do a g/box drop.If its not loose, drop the g/box off the leg and the first thing you find might be the problem.A loose bolt,a jammed shifter.It will probably be a connection problem than a g/box problemHope this helps
