My Navman works 100%, however when I plug my MP3 wireless FM transmitter while the GPS is on, the GPS losses the satellite. Can someone help please.
I'm thinkin that ur fm transmitter is interfeering with ur satilite signal. solution i suppose would be to purchase head unit that has sat and mp3 plug in capatible... or stop using ur fm transmitter while ur using ur gps.

I have had this problem from time to time with my F20 which I have had since May 2007. The simple solution is to turn it off and then on again and let it go through it's start up sequence. It is far better for this to be done whilst stationary.

10-15 minutes is normal.
Did you take it outside? GPS doesn't work indoors. Try in an open field, no trees. Should lock in a few minutes. I always do the following: i key in the destination address at home, then put it under 'favourites". When i start driving, i put the unit in my car and look up the recently added favourite. The unit then has enough time to lock on to the satellites.

tap on "GPS Status" (second page of GPS software) and be sure that the box is checked in the upper left hand corner. In the same screen, be sure com 8 and 9600 (baud rate) is shown.

When I turn the MP3 off, the GPS sattelite comes back.
I really wanted a more technical answer, but thanks anyway.
