You can accomplish this by either going to the specific TV and selecting the record option at the time the program is about to come on or you can press menu-8-5 and change the record preferences. You can either set the DVR to record programs to the TV2 location by default or TV1 by enabling the record plus feature. In dual mode without record plus enabled all programs you select to record default to the tuner you are viewing e,g, if watching tv1 and selecting to record a program in the future it will record to the tv1 location. In single mode all recordings default to tv2 so you can continue to watch live tv from tv1. I hope this answers your question and thanks for using Fix Ya. Let me know if I can further assist you.

When I change the channel on tv2, it also changes the channel on tv1. I have changed the address for tv2's remote, but it still changes tv1's channel.

Hi my nameis Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see your TV2 changes TV1 as well, thereis an easy fix to this problem. You will want to make sure the receiver is inDual Mode and then make sure the TV2 connection on the back of the receiver isin the right port. I will send a link to help with these steps, http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/same-video-2-tvs.I will leave my e-mail if you have any questions [email protected].

You can change the preference that you have set up and have it record to TV2. Go to Menu, then 8 - Preferences, and 5 - Record Plus. Change it to enabled, if not already, and TV2 for preference.

With 2 tvs you set to record on 1 and it records on 2 instead?records on the opposite tv

Hello, Matthew Gonzales with DISH Network here. The default setting in our receivers are to automatically record everything onto TV2. You can change the setting by pressing menu-8- 5 (preferences-record plus), then you can either disable the feature, or set it to record onto TV1. If the feature is disabled, the show will record at whichever TV the timer is set up on. If it is set to TV1, all timers will attempt to record on TV1 (unless TV1 already has a recording going on it then it goes to TV2). Hope this helps.

Installed a new 625 today replacing any old 510 receiver. On the new 625 I cannot get TV2 to record--can only get TV1 to record. Have called Dish and was told to put in a DP separator. My husband did...

Hello! Dan Busa with Dish Network here. I know you've probably gotten this up and running by now but just for reference to anyone on this site. Any cabling or connectors used to carry signal to the receiver should be rated for 2,150 mhz if this is not the case you will typically get signal loss messages.

Dish dvr 625 can't get dvd/vcr player to work with tv2..

if you have the coax hooked to the VCR in you will need to change the VCR channel to 22 and leave the TV itself tuned to 3 or 4.. I recommend setting the vcr to 60 or 73 to see if you can get reception on there as that is usually the two channels that TV2 is modulated on. You can check the modulation by going to TV1 and pressing menu-6-1-5 on the TV1 remote. Thanks for using Fix Ya. If I can be of further assistance please let me know.

Hi,my brand new UHF remote wont operate the #2 tv??

Go to the tv 1 location with your TV2 remote. Turn TV1 on and using TV1's remote press menu-menu. You will be at the System Info Screen. Take TV2 REMOTE and press and hold the SAT button on the top left until all buttons on the top light up. Release the SAT button. Now key in a two digit number from 1to 16 and press the # key. The SAT button will flash three times. Now press the record button until the remote address for TV2 changes to the number you chose. When accomplished exit out of the screen with th TV1 remote and you should now be able to control TV 2. As a precaution ensure the remote antenna is on the back of the receiver. If you still have difficulty it may be required to move the remote antenna closer to TV2. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for using Fix Ya and let me know if I can of further assistance.

How do i choose tv1 or tv2 on my DVR?

Your recording will record onto your one DVR box, for playback on either tv. On many satelite boxes you have to search for the program you want by entering the name. Then select the program and select to record the future broadcast.

DISH Network DVR-625 DTV - AUDIO PROBLEM ON LOCAL CHANNELS ONLY

I am probably stating the obvious here but here it goes:
If the 625 is connected to the tv using coax directly try using the RCA jacks to connect directly to the tv. If the 625 goes through a peripheral first, eliminate that peripheral and conect directly to the tv.If the problem exists with different media connections still at the same tv you can remove the coax off of the TV1(3-4) output on the back of the 625 and attach it to the TV2(CH60-73) output. You would then change your tv channel from 3 or 4 to ch 60air or 73 cable(which will be the same channel that TV2 is normally on in the remote room without the 625) Once you are on the right channel you will be able to tune TV1 to your local channel using the TV2 remote. If the audio is good here it eliminates the TV coax input on the TV1 and the coax cable connecting it as the source of the problem. You will have already eliminated any other inputs on the same tv as being faulty by using the other connecting media leaving you with the internal components of the receiver as being faulty. In this situation I know of no recourse except the obvious.

DISH Network DVR-625 - Audio Problem

FIRST TRY CONNECTING THE RECEIVER TO THE TV VIA A DIFFERENT MEDIUM SUCH AS RCA INPUTS IF CURRENTLY CONNECTED WITH COAX.

If the problem is still evident you can send the TV1signal to TV2 or vice versa. This is accomplished by switching the output cables from tv 1 to tv 2 and changing the tv you want to use as your "monitor" to the proper channel. If viewing tv1 on tv2 change the TV channel from 60 air or 73 cable to 3. if using tv1 to view tv2 the process is the oppposite from 3 to 60air or 73cable.

To check which channel tv2 is modulated to do the following:

go to TV2 and with it on press menu, 6, 1, and then 5 on the Dish remote. That will dispay both tv output channels. You only need to be concerned with TV2.

This should isolate the problem by either it being present on both TV's using the TV1 output, which would mean the internals of the receiver are faulty, or if it is fine on the other TV it would indicate that the problem lies with the TV itself which is unlikely. This is assuming the FIRST method did noyt resolve the problem.

You may also want to try running the medium source from the back of the receiver directly to the TV.

This is all assuming you receive your locals through the satellite and not an off air antenna. Hope this helps you out.
