The FM/AM tuner plays out of the rear RCA jacks like it should but the built-in CD player and Aux In (front mounted) don't send any audio these same jacks. If I use the factory speakers ( no amplifier) the built in system works and fades front to rear just fine for the tuner, cd and the front aux input. I tried every combination of programming selections = Aux/Sub and so forth but still have this problem. Any ideas??

Hi nhmteam. I have the solution for you: 1. With your DEH-P3000 turned off, press your FUNCtion button. It's a tiny button towards the upper right of the faceplate. Hold it down until you "ALARM OFF" or "ALARM ON" on the display. Release the button. 2. Press the FUNCtion button again and you should see another feature. I don't remember how many features you need to cycle through, but keep releasing and pressing the FUNCtion button until you see "M-CD ON" on the display. If you miss it just keep going and eventually it will come back. 3. On the right side of your faceplate there is a button with 4 arrows. You will need to push the up or down arrow until the display reads "M-CD OFF". If your display already reads "M-CD OFF", kip to the next step. 4. Press and release the FUNCtion button again and you should see "AUX OFF" on the display. Again press the up or down arrow until the display reads "AUX ON". 5. Now, turn on your unit, then press the INPUT button until the display reads "AUX". You are now ready to use your iPod in the way you always did. Keep these instructions for the future since I believe every time you disconnect the unit from the battery the unit will reset itself and disable your iPod cord. Best regards - TomR

Just connect together the solid blue wire on the main harness to the radio with the blue/striped wire. The blue wire is for the power antenna and the blue striped is for the remote amp. but if not connected together only the fm/am has outputs to the line output RCA jacks. I learned this through Sony's tech line and it works perfectly now.

this works on some other pioneer head units i encountered it may work on yours.
Shut it off and hold the function button until the options appear then
you can scroll through and change a bunch of settings including the aux
input

Switch your blue wires around.
You have put the remote antenna wire to the remote turn on of the amplifier. The radio cuts off the power to the "power antenna" when you switch to a different mode... so your amplifier is now losing the turn on signal it requires to stay on.
Simple 2 minute fix.

Do you have the remote turn on lead hooked up to solid blue wire from the back of the deck? Your amp shoild be hooked up to Bluw w/ white strip as the solid blue wire shuts off when the tuner is off, its used only for the power antenna.
Use Blu w/ Wht strip for amps

I connected the solid blue wire to the blue/white striped wire (remote amp with power antenna wires) and CD and front Aux now play from front or rear speaker and RCA line outputs have audio in all three modes.--fm/am cd player and front aux input for mp3 players
