SOURCE: HOW TO USE BLUETOOTH ON
My daughter has a similar model in this series, and hers does not have Bluetooth capability. What is very misleading (and, in my opinion, bordering on false
advertising) is that there is a Bluetooth switch on the unit that doesn't actually
do anything since the card is not installed. Bluetooth is listed as one of those "varies by model" features, so yours may not have it either. (I only found that out when I opened her laptop to see why the Bluetooth wasn't turning on.)
Most likely, the only way you'll get Bluetooth working on your model is to buy a USB Bluetooth adapter (a "dongle") and plug it in. Unless yours does in fact have Bluetooth installed and it the card doesn't work, in which case you'll need to have the computer serviced.
SOURCE: does acer aspire 5742 have wi-fi
Actually, Wi-Fi is another term for Wireless Network. Well, the answer to you question is Yes, it is a wi-fi ready machine. You don't need any additional hardware to access a Wi-Fi network, in other words, it is a wi-fi certified machine. Hope this helps.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.
