How do I replace a Maytag wall oven's upper hinge?

There are two types and they both work to a theme. Modern Oven hinges are inset into the door itself, so you just split the door apart, take the old ones out and the new ones in. The other type have the hinges inside the oven itself between the outside of the oven cavity and the outer panel. With those you pull out or remove the wall oven and look at the back and underneath for the screws. Remove the side panels, remove and replace the hinges.

Replacing element in an old Chef Auto 600 Oven

Good news!
You probably can do this yourself.
Most appliance parts stores will "demand" you give them a model number, but if you find an appliance store that has a smarter older employee, he or she can probably give you the right one by seeing the old one.
Also know the element may be fine.
Older appliances sometimes have bad wires from old age.
When you take this apart, look carefully at the wires that are connected to the socket that the element plugs in to.
You may find the only thing wrong is a bad wire.
Know also that wire connectors for high heat things like stoves are sometimes made stainless steel, for the high heat.
God bless your efforts.

Oven only heats to 215 degrees will not get any hotter.

Sounds like the heat sensor is bad. I'm assuming this is an electric oven. On the inside back wall of the oven you will see a metal rod sticking out. Unplug the stove, take off the back cover and you'll see where it's attached. Unscrew the keeper and pull it out through the back. Unplug it from the wiring harness.

My maytag oven is showing a f3 code model #che98oobcb

The "F3" fault code is indicating an oven temperature sensor failure or a temperature sensor circuit failure. The oven temperature sensor could be open or shorted. Test the sensor for proper ohm value, frayed or pinch wiring, or connector damage. The oven temperature sensor probe can be found sticking out from the rear wall inside the oven cavity. It will need to be disconnected and tested with an ohm meter. I added a chart in the image below of the resistances of the oven sensor at specific temperatures. At normal ambient room temperature, the oven temperature sensor should have a resistance value of 1050-1100 ohms. See image below. The oven temperature sensor is part #12001655. richroth_137.jpg

I need to know which kind of plug is used on this oven so that the electricians can install the right kind of receptacle. Maytag cwe5800acs 24 Double electric wall oven

Your oven needs to be hard wired to a junction box. No plugs on a oven that pulls 30 or more amps 220v Read your install book that came with the oven.

Older jenn air wall unit oven / turn knob

Yes, I just had same problem. The probe receptical is on the right inside wall of the oven. A little flapper door is secured by a single phillips screw. Remove this screw and the flapper door. Gently remove the receptical and its attached cable adapter. With your screw driver short the connector extension to the housing, just as the probe would. This should reset the meal temperature sensor. Try the bake and problem should be gone. If not permanently short this connection with a wire. You won't be able to use your probe, but the oven will work.
