I have a 1974 pontiac lemans. i don't really know for what reason the vacuum system is messed up. several lines are closed or canceled. I need to get the vacuum system back to its original condition but what i need is a diagram. I don't know wether my engine is a 350 or 403 oldsmobile engine, but what i know is that the carburator is a 4-barrel rochester

The secondary operates via mechanical linkage, look around on the carb for linkage that has become disconnected

We don't have the diagrams for anything that old. I am a retired smog tech and you can get the diagrams from any smog station if you ask nice, they have the hose diagrams back to 1974 which is the last year that needs emission testing in Calif. You can also find the diagrams at some public libraries. If you are unsuccessful you can purchase a 1 year subscription to a site that has all the factory manuals and diagrams, it costs about $26.00 and it is called www.alldatadiy.com
