I'm sorry to have to say this but your CMOS battery connection is bad. There is basically nothing you can do other than replace the whole motherboard if it is too much of a problem.

One of my many computers is like this as well. I'm lucky in that as long as I leave that computer plugged in (it doesn't need to be turned on just plugged in), the CMOS won't reset its self. If you aren't that lucky then I would seek out a replacement motherboard.

SOURCE: faulty time settings p5rd1 vm

Hello!

That's the 2nd time i hear that kind of problem. Your mboard battery is new, and you did not press "f1" at first start.

so i guess , the cmos time is not change, try go to the bios setup and load "bios setup default." after that change the time setting on the bios. please find time setting and set it with a current ime in your area. after setting press 'F10" to save and exit the setting, the system will restart.

may this help!

3. Check the memory you have using if in the same voltage requirements.

Hi, iam ramesh i have problem in my intel 845gvsr , when system boots it displayed error message date & time not set , i have changed new cmos battery.

There are two reasons for this issue
1. It is battery - but you have replaced it. 2. It could be your BIOS is degraded try the following steps
a. Reset your settings to defaults by using the jumper and try b. if the issue still persists you can try installing the upgraded BIOS version (but be cautioned - since failure during BIOS upgrade may lead to motherboard failure).

I try to upgrade bios in a dell mini 1018 ...and now dont start nothing ..only black screen

If the bios upgrade was not the correct version, came from a source other than dell or is corrupt speak to dell. There may be a way of resuing the motherboard.
Hope that helps.

I INSTALLED A NEW CMOS BATTERY BUT STILL NO EFFECT AFTER THE SHUTDOWN WHEN I RESTART IT THERE IS AN ERROR ..LIKE THIS CMOS SETTINGS WRONG ...CMOS SYSTEM TIME/DATE NO T SET...PRESS F1 TO RUN SETUP...PRESS...

Just replacing the battery will not set anything. You have to do the setting of the values. If you can run setup by pressing F1, then do that and set all the settings and then save before exiting. Make sure you save the settings by choosing the correct exit and re-boot option.
If the settings cannot be set nor saved, then make sure the poser is off or pull the plug from the wall outlet, then short the bios with the jumper to short the bios. This will reset the bios to the default settings. Turn on the system and then go to the bios settings and set the settings. Then use the reboot option to save the settings.

Forgotten password ASUS P4P800-VM

There is a blue jumper located just below the lithium battery on the motherboard. You need to remove the jumper and move it to the two pins on the right for about 10 seconds to clear the CMOS then move the jumper back to where you found it. That should clear out the password. It will also change all the BIOS settings back to factory so adjustments to the BIOS may need to be made after reset.

CMOS Checksum error.

the only thing i can think of is when you changed the battery somehow the board terminals positive negative are not in proper contact with battery
did you try resetting bios by the pins on the motherboard
somewhere on the board is printed bios reset or words to the effect
most times it is a 2 pin connector with a jumper only on 1 pin connect the jumper across both pins remove and try to reboot
hope this helps
