FinePix S5100 firmware - Fuji FinePix S5100 Digital Camera

There is no "watch" battery in the camera. Always keep fresh batteries on hand and switch them out quickly. That usually solves the problem.

Check the battery that must be fully charged. Remove the memory card and try. fress the power button in camera few sec & see whats going on. After all these if your camera does on then the curcit board is damaged. You myst visit service center for repair the board. Thanks.

here is the link for the manual to fuji finepix s5100. download it and go to page 72. it will step you thru the sequence. very easy.

This sounds like a similiar problem I had. I brought it into my camera store and a young clerk put my settings back to the original factory settings in moments and it works beautifully again.

I too have an s5100 .. I love it .. there is a fuji s5000 users group at www.s5000.net .. it includes the 5100 and 7000 too .. there was someone there that made a shutter release bracket for it and he was selling them for like $25 .. I am thinking about making one myself .. if you have any questions please feel free to ask .. not that I am by any means a expert with photography, but I do know my way around that camera .. enjoy ..
