Emerson mdl#ewf2703, do not have the remote, need to swith mode to video

unless set has manual input/source/video button you will need an original remote made for this model set................

Without remote control you can't change its mode to AV. Buy one "Atlas OCAP 5-device remote control; by Universal Electronics. Emerson is listed to very short numbers of universal remotes, and this is one amoung them. The codes will be with the attached manual, and you can choose if from it. OK.

What Remote control do you want to program i need the make and model of the remote control and i can find the codes for you also if the remote has a manual you can do a Code Search mode that put's the remote control into a Search mode searching for the correct code for the TV .

Direct Code Entry

1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

Check the guide and see if the codes can be set directly to mesh with the TV frequency.
Also try to remove plug after switch off for some time -it might reset to default condition.

go to radio shack and get a universal remote, with a tv/video mode . cost around 20 bucks.

Remove the battery from the remote then press each button twice.

Insert new batteries then check the operation of the Remote control.

To troubleshoot the video 2 issue, connect different video source to the TV then select the connected video input.

If the issue persists then try resetting the TV to the original factory settings.

universal remotes are tricky, if you have the pamphlet, often times there are several codes for each brand. you have to try all the emerson codes for your universal even tho the power, volume and channel functions may work with several emerson codes, some of these specialized buttons (like input) may only work on your TV with one specific code.

also, if there are any unlabeled buttons on the universal try them with each new emerson code.

you need a qualified tv technician to solve this problem. the vertical ic has to be changed

First, the bad news: Unfortunately, you are correct - the only button to change inputs is on the remote, which you no longer have.

Now, the good news: You can buy a universal remote, set it for your TV model, and have control of your inputs again. The first link below is for the URC R6, which is available at any Walmart for about 20 bucks. You can set it up for an Emerson TV, no problem. Here's the link for it:
