Hi, I have a sharp lcd TV which is just over 1 years old. Just about the time warranty expired, TV picture started to not visible after turning on. I see streaks of vertical bars on the screen. I can change the channels, nothing shows on the screen but audio is there for the channel I choose. After a few minutes, video shows up. Now that few minutes is about an hour. I played a dvd and picture does not show up in that input as well. Any suggestions?

I have a toshiba regza 32hl67 LCD tv which is only 2 1/2 years old. The picture on this unit just started to go the other day (screen darkens but images are still visible and the motion/movement is very slow). I contacted Toshiba and they just said to unplug the tv for 3 minutes to reset the tv. This doesnt work. I am VERY upset with Toshiba, after paying $800 for a tv that only lasted 2 1/2 years. If anyone has had similar issues and know how to fix it, please let me know. Thanks

the lcd tv hhave somethig like a bulb and after a period of use that bulb must be changed. take the tv on service. the service man wil see what is the problem most accurate.

Sorry to say , but these LCD TV Screen do go bad.
There is a board thats part of the screen called the Tcon
You can check the ribbon cables to the tcon board or try to get AOC to warranty the TV under the 1 year warranty.

Use your warranty in a hurry before it expires. Your TV when into protection mode to prevent further damage. Most TVs have a 1 year warranty. Good Luck.

The backlights and their power supply has to be replaced to fix the set. You will have to bring the set in for service to have this done.

It sounds like it's the inverter panel which lites the lcd back light.
If it's under warranty, try to replace it, or take it in for svc.

My LT37HVS was purchased in 2006 and the LCD light engine "blew" with a loud noise and only displays super dim picture-in-picture component feeds.

not sure i laid over a lcd for a couple mintues. that belong to my comapny, once i stood it back up the screen was cracked. i like to have fell over, the replacement part is 12266.00 i guess your out of luck. as i am.
