I bought a used efx 546 in very good condition and with very little use, all it needed was to retightenjng of some bolts. But my problem was a squeeky sound when the machine was used in Reverse motion.it made a slight squeek like noise but when in forward motion it was fjne. So I took it in my hands with a service manual downloaded to repair the machine. With a bit of adjusting the tension bolts on the step up pulley right side. The sound went away instantly.but I'm afraid I did it a bit too much because at one point the crank arm wasn't able to move because the tension bolt so I reversed it slightly and it started to move again.I'm afraid I need to readjust the alignment and tension belt. But I honestly don't know if its even aligned or how to tell if it is. Can anyone give me advice on how to guide me through this step?

You use the two bolts that hold the step up pulley in place. The step up pulley is the pulley assembly that is closes to the back of the unit. The step up pulley slides into two grooves in the frame, then there is a bolt on each side that run down the groove into the step up pulley. These bolts are the bolts that adjust the tension for the skinny belt. You may need to loosen the other belt first then tighten the skinny then retighten the belt you replaced.

Dear Sir:
I hope you are very well, in union with your family.
Thank you by your request, and I will help you inmediately.
Please follow the next step with very carefully:
Makesure that the surge protector being used is properly grounded(Very Important) and turned on.Check that the treadmill power cord is properly plugged into the surgeprotector.
Checkto see that the key is inserted in the console.
Checkthe circuit breaker on the frame near the power cord. If the reset/off circuitbreaker has tripped, wait 5 minutes and then reset the breaker by pressing theswitch in.
4)Check the circuit braker panel house, and reset.
Static Shock Problems:
Many people face a conundrum when using a treadmill. The problem is that a treadmill has you walk or run in a motion that causes you to build up an electrical charge on your body while you are exercising.
The problem if you are swinging your arms, you are totally isolated from any common ground so the charge just builds and builds and many discharges have been measured above 30,000 volts.
You may say, how in a frost-covered hell can I build up 30,000 volts on my body without killing myself? Good question and it has a good
answer...there is very little amperage. It will pop you good when you do ground and sting but it won't hurt you.
The problem is that it can damage the treadmill's electronics if it is not properly designed and we still see poor designs in this respect
If you don't like getting popped or if your treadmill is shutting down or going crazy, there is a fix. You can ground yourself to keep the electricity from building up on your body.
We now have wrist grounding straps that can be reused and attach to the frame of the treadmill without causing any markings and do not require any permanent modification to your treadmill. You can find them in any online catalog by electronic sales by searching for Grounding Strap.
Thank in advance, sincerely. God bless you.

please follow this steps: Remove the bolts or screws
securing the console to the upright assembly. Lift the console and
confirm that the cable connections are secure. Remove the cover from the
console's battery bay and install a fresh set of batteries. Replace the
battery cover. Detach the ends of the pedals
from the crank axles. Remove the left and right disc shields and side
shields. Inspect the interior of the base unit and locate the flywheel. Inspect the flywheel as it
turns. Locate the magnet installed on the flywheel. Turn the flywheel
until the magnet passes in front of the nearby reed switch. Loosen the
screw securing the switch in place. Rotate the switch to reduce the gap
between it and the magnet. Tighten the screw.

please follow this steps and fix it. God bless youError 43 - Zero Switch not FoundDescriptionThe C944 and several versions of C96X used a lift position identification system that did notutilize a potentiometer.Instead, it utilized a switch that would be physically actuated by the lift when the lift was in thezero incline position. A revolution sensor counted lifted motor revolutions to determinesubsequent lift positions. In addition two limit switches where used to remove power from the liftmotor if the lift moved outside of it's normal range. When the unit was powered up the lift would start to hunt for the zero switch. It would first go up4% (maximum lowest physical position was -3%) if it did not find the zero switch or it hit the upperlimit switch, it would then go down until did find the zero switch. When the zero switch waslocated it would stop, the system would then know its physical position and be prepared tomonitor the revolution sensor. If during this power up procedure the zero switch was not found anerror 43 would be displayed.Possible Causes1. The lift position actuator does not physically operate the zero switch.2. The lower PCA is bad.3. The zero switch is bad.Possible Remedies1. There are several physical problems related to the lift platform mounting or the plate the zeroswitch is mounted on that can cause the actuator knob to miss the zero switch as it movespast. Repair the lift platform mounting, repair or replace the lift switch mounting plate asrequired.2. The lower PCA provides a 5 VDC power source for the zero switch. You should measure 5VDC across the zero switch when the zero switch is activated. If the reading is significantlylow, remove both wires from the zero switch and repeat the measurement across the wiresremoved from the zero switch. If the reading is still significantly low, verify the zero switchwiring. If the wiring is intact and correctly connected, replace the lower PCA.3. Move the lift to position where the zero is switch is not activated and remove power from thetreadmill. Remove both leads from the zero switch and measure the zero switch with anohmmeter. The zero switch should read very near 0 ohms. While measuring the zero switchwith the ohmmeter, activate the switch by hand, the reading should change to infinite (open). If either of the above readings are significantly incorrect, replace the zero switch.
