Portforwarding: Incoming connections on port 80 not possible

Hi, would be great if maybe someone had an idea regarding this:
I set up the 2700 HG-E Gateway (Software version 4.25.43) for remote access.
Port forwarding works fine e.g. for VNC (TCP 5900) and apparently for most other ports. However, any attempt to forward incoming requests on port 80 fail. As a workaround I am now forwarding 81 to an internal webserver, but this is certainly not satisfying.
Moreover, it seems impossible to access the built-in webserver (for the config interface) from the internet (except through VNC via an internal machine).
Any suggestions?

Try using DMZ plus mode to open all ports to be accessible for that particular application, or specify the application name with the corresponding port on the 2wire modems firewall settings

My nat is moderate. how do i fix it to make it more open

You can simply forward ports. I believe you are using XBOX 360. Here are the ports that you need to open

3074 TCP
3074 UDP
88 UDP
80 TCP
53 TCP
53 UDP

You can open those ports using your router's Port Forwarding feature. To know more about portforwarding, you visit www.portforward.com

What is portforwarding

You need to login to your router and go to firewall or virtual servers.  In there you can setup port forwarding.  The goal is to forward external (internet) traffic to a specific internal machine (your PS3).  You do this on a per TCP/UDP port basis and must specify the appropriate external TCP and/or UDP port and internal TCP and/or UDP port.  Sounds harder than it is.
Or you can setup your PS3 in your router's DMZ (Demiliterized Zone).  This sets up the router to forward ALL internet sourced traffic to a specific machine (your PS3).  This is the easier way to do it so you don't have to worry about specific TCP/UDP port numbers.

The best page for portforwarding can be found here.
It mainly depends on the software and the ports used, so it might differ from application to application.
