My Cuisinart DCC-1150 is only 2 months old and has worked fine until today. The clean light was on this morning and I made a pot of coffee. After having coffee, I emptied coffee maker and filled reservoir with 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water to clean it. Nothing happens, no clock, no light, no nothing. My outlet is fine, because other items work in it. Any suggestions? and if not, do I need to return to where I purchased it or return to Cuisinart?
My Cuisinart® Coffee on Demand stopped working, no power light, no clock, no brewing. I have had it for about 11 months. I bought it at Mervyns and now they are going out of business. The warranty is for 3 years. Anyone know what can be done to fix it or replace it?

Hello dhubert14,
This is a really common problem with the cuisinarts. I am most familiar
with the DCC-1200, but you may be able to solve the problem. This an indication that something is plugged up. Open the top of
the unit and in one of the corners you should find a filter stick or
column that is removable. Pull it out and open it up to clean out the
clogged up carbon filter in there. (You can later buy a new filter on
Amazon.) Clean out the debris from the bottom of the cavity. Replace
the stick into the cavity once cleaned. Now it's time to run through a
solution of 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Do this once or twice
with fresh solutions, then with a pot of fresh water. When the filter
stick is plugged up the sensor says its time to clean it, but most
people don't know about this fix. I hope this is really helpful to you, dhubert14. Positive feedback is appreciated. Good luck. NormanZ

I bought my Cuisinart coffe maker DCC-1150 4 monts ago. I tried to make coffee this morning but it won't turn on. There is no power whatsoever.
The cuisinart quit working after 3 yrs. No power, no clock, no nothing! I tried to disassemble it, but it takes a special tool. The first time this happened, I unplugged it and plugged it into another receptacle and it worked, but now it's dead.
same story. six months old and we woke up this morning to find no power going to the unit. no clock, no brew, nada... all other appliances work in the same sockets.
