Ringer not working on my cell phone

My phone wet and the screen looked a little funny (but the ringer and everything was still working) so I took the phone apart and let it dry completely for a day or so and then put it back together and everything is working except for the volume on my phone. I can while on a call, but the phone does not ring out loud when a call is coming in. Still lights and shows the caller id, just no sound. Any suggestions?!

SOURCE: High humidity problem

Might as well send it in and see what they say. If nothing else they might offer you a trade up option to a newer model. They can be reached at 800-706-2534 and then keep choosing option 1.

You need a new thread, which is the bit inside of the phone, if you take it to your nearest phones hope, they should do it for 10-30 pound

I have the new nokie 6700 slide and the sound just stopped working, it hasnt been wet or anything it just stopped working i cant even hear it ring. please help

Make sure that the incoming call alert (under profile settings) is "NOT OFF"...
Make sure the profile is not in silent mode...
If everything is ok, then probably it may be the ringer might have gone bad... You can take it back to any Nokia care and ask them to check the status of ringer...

Wet Phone with Download screen

it may sound funny but put the phone, battery and nething else that got in a bag of dry rice. it will soak up any water left in the phone. that may fix your problem.

I have a samsung flipshot and the camera doesn't work

Hey.
I am having the same problem.
I took my phone down to my verizon store.
they took the back off my phone and said it had been wet and that is why the camera won't work.
they tried updating the software (which it free) to see it that would fix it and that didnt work...

I dont believe that is the problem but I cant figure out how to fix it...

you can tell your phone has been wet by taking the back off and looking at the little square beside the flash.
White= wet.
Black or checkered print= it has not been wet before.

Broken ringer

I discovered that I there was yet one more screw hiding under the little sticker near the antenna. Got that off, took the screw out, took the antenna off and the whole back came off fairly easily. The dead ringer (couldn't resist) was in the back casing. It's has a sticky backing so I pried that out, put the other one in and closed everything back up. Much to my delight, after having no sound from my phone for 18 months, I now have my ringer working again. And I saved myself $200!

HELP!!! I have no clue what to do!!!

I suspect your funny little symbol is a bluetooth icon. Dig down into your settings menus and try two things. First, look for a list of profiles and see if you can select one with a name like "General". Hopefully that will be enough to make the phone work. If that doesn't look for the Bluetooth settings, and try disabling Bluetooth. A.
