Authentication error when connecting new scan folder

Hi there if you type in the internet explorer the ip address there you will have the machine information. Then login usually the login is
User name = Admin
Password = password or just enter leave blank
Once you are in there you will be able to change the details you need.

How to set up the machine for SMTP authentication. There is no selection to enter the information in network setup on the machine.
Solution
CAUSE: Incorrect soft switch setting.
SOLUTION: Perform the following:
1. Touch utility button
2. Admin. Management
3. Admin. 2
4. Software SW
5. Enter the soft switch mode 380. Set bits 6 and 2 to 1.
6. Re-start the machine. The SMTP settings will now appear in the network setup of the Admin 2 mode to allow entry of the user name and password.

I had this problem when sending to mail account.
This can also be changed for ftp/smb.
So maby this is the answer to you problem.
Solution: Extend the time-out from 90 to 300 seconds
Goto the setting of the machine (http://<ip>) and login with Administrator account.
On the page Network click on Email/SMTP.
Change the Time-Out setting to 300 seconds.

SOURCE: Need to delete address folder from the scanner
you need to select user tools (upper right on op panel). go to system settings. go to administrator tools. go to address management. press the delete button. choose the folder you want to delete. choose yes. press user tools button once more. done.

I am assuming that each person ahs its own authentication, so check and make sure that each person is logged inside the machine under Adimistator Settings, check their accounts are set up
