52.00 error is not good. If you tried powering off and on and that didn't work, a tech is going to have to look at it. Problem could be the laser/scanner or the engine control board(ECU)
This is a Fan issue you have 2 of them one on the front right side and one on the left. if you remove both covers see which one is not working Now if their are both working then you will need to replace the ECU (Engine Control Unit).
I've attached a link that shows you how to remove the covers off the 2420 it's a pdf file . And the Left side cover will need to be removed to access the other fan.
power on your printer, after you see processing data the second time, press cancel. Everytime I have seen this error is because the user tries to print a PDF file that is corrupt. This has worked for me in the past.

A critical firmware error has occurred. Hp suggest reseating memory modules and upgrading the firmware, but i've found in the past if by turning it off and on a few times doesn't cure it the formatter board needs replacing (quite common on this model)
1) Your paper tray may be too full, makes it heavy to lift and not enough pressure for the pick up roller.
2) Pick up roller is slippery, wipe it clean with alcohol to make it abbrasive.
