How to replace olevia lt37hvs ir receiver replacement

Normally the service tech will replace the remote receiver module to test it. The more difficult way is to use an oscilloscope and measure the data train at its output, while the remote is facing it and a button is pressed.

This level of repair is not something the end user can normally do unless he is experienced in servicing these sets and has the proper tools and service information to do the work.

I suggest to first verify if the remote is actually defective or not. Normally an IR data receiver is used, and its output is connected to a scope to see if the data is present.

A crude way to see if a remote is at least emitting from its IR LED is to face a video or photo camera toward the remote LED output in the front of it. On the screen of the camera you should normally see the LED emitting light. Most photo cameras can pick up IR light. It may even work with your camera phone, unless it is heavily IR filtered.

Check and replace its tuner.

is this a trick question? You have stated the model number LT37HVS! Do you mean the serial number? That is on the barcode on rear of screen where the model number was

Replacement screens are hard to come by for this model as the copany went out of business and no parts are made. The best way and price on a replacement screen is to watch e-bay and craigs list and buy a whole tv that wont power on and swap LCDs. Also www.RNS-Systems.com has uses LCD screens

You would need to get the transformer/converter. It will convert the power from 120 to 220. If your going to a military installattion, most of the Housing is American standards. If you plan on living on the economy and not near an American installation then your TV would only be good for your DVD and games. PS3/Xbox. They have satalite and cable, but it all depends on where you will live. On American Soil...your good to go. Off..... doubt it!!

Unfortunately, This hdtv can only use with receiver. There is no cable connection back of it. You may connect it using with HDMI cable.

Which 'universal' remote have you found that listed codes for Olevia??
And, if you have a TV shop in your area at all, they will likely have an IR (infrared) detector made to check remotes for output. The simple ones do not check for coding but will tell you if the remote is putting out any signal at all. Of the two ends, the receiver is typically more reliable than the transmitting end in your remote.
