Here is a how it works post I{ wrote a little while back.:The oven temperature is regulated by a temperature sensor when placed in self clean the sensor is removed from the circuit and full power is applied to both the bake and broil elements causing an the temperature to exceed in some some models up to 1,000 F. I would recommend against using self clean for the simple fact that no oven cavity to this date has been designed to withstand that high of a temperature and therefore excess heat is passed upward resulting in damaged lock mechanisms, control boards, and other electronic components. With all that said you can try to cycle the controls by turning the breaker of the oven off for a few minutes the n turn it back on. It should then read PF which is normal. Press the cancel button and try it to see if it works. If not then you will need to replace the control board in the upper panel

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite slide in range F30 error

I had the same F30 error problem but fixed it. On my professional series Frigidaire, there are 2 resettable red button locations. I discovered that only one is in the rear of the oven. After going to the breaker box and shutting off the power, pull out the stove enough to work, unscrew the rear screws (I didn't unscrew all of them, just enough to work back there). The small red button is on a small black round piece with two purple wires feeding to it. That was not my problem. Mine was the other red button behind the control panel. Pull off all 4 knobs, unscrew by hand the large black rings that are underneath the knobs, pull out the whole panel. Look back and right (below where the right knobs were located) to find the 2nd red small button. Push to reset. Check this one first since it is easier to do.

SOURCE: self cleaning oven error code FSEO

Probably a bad door lock solenoid. That is some kind of door lock problem. Trouble is they are not all the same. This training manual shows locations of model number. Perhaps if you post that I might can come up with a tech sheet and you would get a better answer. see page 4

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite made by Frigidaire

The F30 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board detects an "open" oven temperature sensor probe circuit.
This is usually caused by a failed oven temperature sensor probe.

Replacing this component will likely fix your problem.

You can order this part from www.searspartsdirect.com website.

If you replace this part yourself, be sure that you unplug the range to disconnect electrical power before accessing this component.

On some models, you can replace the probe by removing the screws that mount this component to the inside back wall of the oven.
Carefully pull the probe inside the oven cavity until you encounter the wire harness disconnect plug.
Unplug the sensor and replace it with the new one. Mount the new probe on the back wall of the oven.

On some models, you have to remove the lower back oven panel to access the sensor probe.

If you replace the probe and still have this problem, you will need to unplug the range and measure the resistance through the violet wires that plug into the control board (this is where the sensor probe circuit is connected to the control board).
If the resistance through the oven temperature sensor probe circuit is normal (about 1100 ohms at room temperature) then the electronic oven control board will need to be replaced.

Frigidaire oven won't work. top range works fine, but digital clock and digital display stopped working which works oven, so oven also will not work f11 code

Hello steve o - Typically error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually will clear most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear contact a professional to move forward accurately. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

It has nothing to do with the tight fit.
It has everything to do with self-cleaning on ovens.
The thermal fuse blows due to extreme temperatures.
Replace the fuse to use the oven.
Use an oven cleaner to clean the oven OR replace more fuses in the future.

F30 error on kenmore elite electric stove

F30 - Open Probe connections

F31 - Shorted Probe connections

Suggested Corrective Action
1. (F30 or F31) Check resistance at room temperature & compare to *RTD Sensor resistance chart. If resistance does not match the RTD chart replace RTD Sensor Probe. Check Sensor wiring harness between EOC & Sensor Probe connector.

2. (F30 or F31) Check resistance at room temperature, if less than 500 ohms, replace *RTD Sensor Probe. Check for shorted Sensor Probe harness between EOC & Probe connector.

Hope this helps (remember to rate this free answer).

Had self clean on for a little over 1hour, was set for 2 hours and code F30 was flashing, self clean turned off

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F30 error means open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you want to do it yourself and wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter between 1080-1120ohms....if it reads more then or less then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around between 1080-1120ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Message f 30 on my kenmore oven after I used the self cleaning feature.

F30 is a warning code indicating that the oven either has overheated or that the sensor may have activated the error code.

There is a sensor inside the oven that should have a resistance of about 1,100 Ohms at room temperature. If the resistance is out of range then you will need to replace the sensor.

If the resistance is within tolerances then the problem is the clock control board. Also check for any loose or bad connections.
