2003 tv rca model# d52w20yx1 shuts off after it warms up sometimes 15 min. sometimes 2 hrs. is it worth repairing an what part could it be thank you pat
I HAVE A 36' RCA , WHEN I TURN IT ON ITS SHOWS A GREAT PIC. AFTER ABOUT 30 MIN TO 2 HRS IT WILL SHUT DOWN ITS MAKES A POP SOUND, AFTER ABOUT 30 MIN OR MORE I CAN TURN IT BACK ON, BUT NO SOUND I HAVE TO TURNS SPEAKERS BACK ON FOR SOUND
Check 3 capacitors cp150- 2200uf 16v if it is puffed up on top it is bad so replace 2 other caps cp120&cp114 220uf 35v they will be green with gold writing on them and are located on Deflection board,it has your Flyback transfomer on it.Resolder all pinns on FBT.

OPEN YOUR TV AND TRY TO RESOLDER ANY LOOSE CONTACT.
OR CHECK POWER SUPPLY UNIT .IT COULD FIX YOUR PROBLEM.

I have the same tv and mine turns off by itself sometimes but now it lights up the power switch then it goes off then on then off, but never really turning it on,
I'm experiencing the same problem, I gota multimeter so now I'm going to test all the diodes and hopefully find the problem. The way to test is by touching the diodes on side and and then reversing the procedure. There should only be one reading, if you et two readings there's the bad diode. The current should only flow in one direction. Go to your locl radio shack and replace the bad one.
