Hi ihave a high pitch sound from back of tv witch changes with picture colour any body know ?
Your problem is very simply. You have a bad ground. You need to purchase a plug adapter. The AC cord you plug into the wall. Must change from a 3 prong to a 2 prong. You can get this at the 99 cents store.

HUMMING NOISE FIXED -
I've had my Samsung TV for over a year and yesterday I re-arraanged my furniture and TV. I also changed the power plug from a 2 prong to a 3 prong...and it starting humming so loud, it was driving me crazy!!! I changed the power plug back to the 2 prong and the humming went completely away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lukster5 you are correct I have a noise on my LCD TV LNT 2653H ( Samsung)
and that is what they said it is ( coil in power supply circuit)
Please explain what this part does and will it be the complete cure?
What would the charge be to fix this problem? ( at a shop)
Thanks
The response from CC is pure bull shiot. It's not the ground. I've done everything short of return and that's next. Great set but has a very "simply" bug.
Hey folks,
I have a 42" SAMSUNG and it seems that with the Backlight set to anything under 3 will cause a low humming noise as well as if you have Energy Saving mode turned on it will also cause the humming noise. I found this by muting the TV going into menu and enabling/disabling or changing the values of the options 1 step at a time. It's only audible if the TV is on mute and set to one of the inputs other than coax. Possibly a grounding problem?? Hope this helps.

No solution but I have a Samsung LE32R7 which gives off an annoying high pitched frequency when the set is in standby. Its NOT the power supply hum which I can also hear but am not bothered by. A Samsung guy had a look or rather a listen to it but couldn't hear the noise as he was fairly old and proably his ears can't hear that frequency any longer! He offered no solution and said he might have a look after 'silly season' if I was still bothered by it. As the noise is only there when in standby I can't say that its related to picture colour change.
The panel need to be replaced
FINALLY GOT MINE FIXED... They had to modify the coil on the power board.. The "choke" on the board originally is wrong. They finally posted a service bulletin for it. If you can get a competent tech with the right parts it can fixed. Just make sure they don't modify the "main board". There was a conflicting service bulletin and it took two trips to get mine right. Finally a quiet TV, but ALL the 3253h are defective out of the box. Some are just louder than others. Either get it fixed or return it. Since the store wouldn't accept mine back, I got it fixed. Samsung should really do something about this because a lot of people will simply return it rather than put up with the BS of repair.
Mine does it too.. Circuit City won't take it back because I've exchanged four of them even though I have a 30 day return policy. They claim it all within there discretion. We'll see what the judge says about that. Anyways. This TV is a $1,000.00 paper weight that i'm about ready to throw out
Set the melody function to off... noise goes away

I have a Samsung LN-T3253H LCD tv. I have detected a humming/buzzing noise coming from the tv that is slightly noticeable when watching tv, but is more noticeable when the tv is muted. I had this problem with the first tv i purchased where the sound was much more pronounced and i returned the tv for a replacment. I have had the new tv now for two days and the same sound has started again but like i said not as noticeable. I called Samsung when i had the first tv and they told me to unplug the tv and plug it back in to correct the problem. Problem still existed and Samsung was going to send a repair tech to fix but i decided to return the tv for a replacment instead b/c i did not want to wait for a repair tech. Like i stated earlier, with the second tv i have now the humming noise is not a noticeable as with the first tv but it is still there nonetheless. Can you help please?
I have the same humming problem with my brand new LN-T3253H Samsung 32 LCD. Turning off the melody feature didn't work for me. Has anyone else figured out a solution??
Same problem with the T3253H. Any resolution as yet?
I am on my third new Samsung tv and still am having the same hitch pitched noise problem as with the previous two sets. I am going to try the suggesstion by CircuitCity and see if this works. I am thrilled with the tv with respect to controls/picture/sound/etc., just hate the high pitched noise issue. I am not sure that the bad ground as suggested by CircuitCity is the correct solution but worth a try anyway. If this does not work I got a local Samsung rep's business card from a guy a HHGregg that i am going to call and see if they can help and i will post details soon as to outcome. Thanks
Me too! The tech guy is right about the coil. Taking it back will do you no good because you will just get another bad coil. Have Samsung replace the bad coil on the power supply with an updated one and all will be good again. It's a simple fix. You have a year on the warranty.
I bought a 52 inch Samsung in May and the humming is getting so bad sometimes I'll go watch another TV. We also have a problem with horizontal bars rolling from the bottom to the top of the screen (bending -too much power).
I called David T. at Future shop, 613 526-7450. He said it may have experienced a power serge from lightening causing the hum. I didn't buy the extended warranty so I am out of luck. He also suggested that a special power bar for $300 might help to regulate the power. David said they are so sensitive that when someone turns on or off something else that uses power, it will effect the TV. He said they all do it, but it seems more of a problem with Samsung.
I just bought a Samsung 46 in (LN46A550) yesterday from a large electronics chain and this thing is humming like a mosquito next to my ear. This sucks, I thought Samsungs were more reliable than other no name sets. I tried all the suggestions on the internet blogs to no avail. I had a 32 inch Viewsonic and it didn't make the same annoying hum. Called the Seller and they want me to hall this big old thing back to the store for an exchange. What a pain in the ****, I should of bought a Sony!
Similar problem: My new LZ.....656 (32") causes my Hi-fi to buzz at around 250-300Hz.
I had SONY 28" Vega CRT with Sky + box with beautifull surround sound and no problems. Monday before Cristmas I bought the Samsung. The connections are exactly as previous set up with 2 scart and co-ax terrestrial aerial. Hi-fi is taken from Sky + box using both digital Optical and analogue Phono into Yamaha processor then to Quad pre/power amps.
I have checked all the cables and connections, but I have come to a brick wall. Is it the TV putting out large magnetic field, or is it the impedence matching on the Sky, Yamaha, or Quad Pre-Amp (tape module). Cheers Stu.
