The s300i healthrider developed an electrical burning odor after it runs for 20-30 minutes. This started after the incline suddenly decreased so we could fold it up. The incline was in a stuck position for the longest time until one day when the machine turned on but the only thing that worked was the incline mode. It suddenly went up and down on its own as if to reset itself. Is this possible? Is it dangerous to continue to use the machine when it is obviously overheating/has this strong burning smell?

I have a Healthrider Softstrider s300i treadmill and it will shut off with no warning after 35 min or so. I take out the safety key, reinsert it after a few min and it will go again.

1) you have 3 problems: mechanical+ electrical + electronic.

2) adjust the tensions from deck bel + drive belt motor

3)test the main motor without load and see what happen.
4)test the main motor board and see what happen.

I have a HealthRider S300i treadmill, but unfortunately, I don't have the included allen wrench. So far I've been unable to figure out what size allen wrench I need. Any idea?

you can try to rent a set at AutoZone. when you return it they will give your money back. try standard and metric. depending on manufacturer of treadmill.
