HP LASERJET 3800 PRINTS THIN BLACK LINES ON PICTURES
that print head is clogged,
do the clean cycle shown in the manual;
new cartridge time if cleaning does not work.
all things work last week but now.
nothing new here and for sure pesky printers
and for sure not used every day. (this keep them going more reliably)
made back in 2008, so is getting long in tooth and on most this full cleaning of the whole printer is advised. ever do that?

Printing thin black lines the length of my color pages, HP laserjet 3800
one question......
do the lines go off the edge of the paper?
if so either the black drum unit or the belt has gone bad.
if the lines stop before the edge of the paper it could be on the print job itself.
go through the menu and look for demo pages or the configuration pages to print and examine them.

We have an hp Color Laserjet 3800 that has recently started erroring out with a 50.2 error whenever the user tries to print to envelopes in tray 1 with either usb connection or networked. The unit works...
That is a fuser error. Try reseating the fuser and replace if error continues.
