Dear Sir:

Please 1)adjust the reed switch see the diagram below 2) Change the baterries by new ones 3) Tigh the flexible cable from keypad 4) Tigh the connector from display board vs lower board.

Run inmediately after you did the step before software calibration for easy diagnose and troubleshooting.

If you can nor RUN your software calibration please see my personal TIPS, for easy diagnose and Trouble.

SOURCE: I have a proform xp 580. when I turn it on,

Press the Stop and the Speed Up keys down while inserting the safety key.
Press the Stop key one time. The Time window should read EP:2P. Some newer models may also say FP, Pass, or the like. This means that it passes the EPROM test.
Press either incline key and the incline will calibrate automatically.
After completing calibration of incline, press the Stop key and then remove the safety key.

Treadmill Display on Proform XP 580 won't light up

Verify the wire harness to the console has continuity with a multimeter.

Very common for the harness to be damaged if disassembled and reassembled during a move.

Otherwise you would need to source a wiring diagram from mfg to see what the readings should be at the console connection.

If that all checks out then it most likely is the upper control board.

Just because the lower board is getting power doesn’t indicate it is functioning

Proform xp 580 trips the breaker as soon as you turn it on

Treadmills have up to a 15 amp power draw. They are like space heaters, Proform often recommends having a dedicated 15-20 amp circuit for a treadmill. Ellipticals have less power draw.
I repair most Icon products, is this a new problem with an old treadmill? If it is a new treadmill, call the number in the front of the manual, if they can't fix it over the phone, there is a good warranty on it. At least for a little while. ;-)

PROFORM XP 580 NEW PART MC2100 IS NOT THE SAME AS OLD PART

you must to return the parts and demand for the original part for your right treadmill,
Otherwise you must waste your time and money.
Be sure if you are doing the right with the machine,

Test aNY Fuse,c.breaker , REED switch, sensor speed,. Test all connector tight very well included the ribbon cable for keypads for display board.

Proform xp 580 - Does anyone know how to remove the control panel cover? Is there a diagram somewhere of all screws?

Look up your model on IconService.com, they have the user manual, and also the schematics that I use as a Tech. Note that even as a repair tech, I rarely ever get into the console.
Technical note - on treadmills, the top electronic board is actually called a "console". The "controller" is the circuit board that sits next to the drive motor in the bottom housing in front of the drive roller.

I have a Proform xp 550 the incline won't go up...it was starting to go up then made a noise and it dropped down ... how do i fix it?

RUN the software calibration for diagnose, troubleshooitng, fix it.
2) Lube the gear+shaft from elevation Motor
3) adjust the POT from elevation motor, see diagrams attached.

Calibrate new console

Dear Sir:

Please see the instructions 1) some models attached under the Hood of the main motor 2) Other model is under the cover of display board.
3) Follow the instruction from user guide.
Adjust the reed swithc see the attached diagram

If you do not have user guide. go : www.proform. com go to customer service go then parts% Manuals, give your model, etc, and download for free your u. manual.
