Attachments The hose attachment doesn't spray out water. it seems like the trigger doesn't pull back enough. Is there something I can do to fix this or do I need to get a new part?

Check the following with liquid in both tanks.

- Check to see if the machine will spray through the hose with the setting on tools. If it does, the pump is fine. Continue troubleshooting.

- Check for debris on spray tips. Clean them with a soft brush (on old tooth brush works well). The spray tips may be lifted out for easier access.

- Ensure the tank lid is properly attached to the bottom of the tank. To attach this properly, remove the Water Tank from the machine. Hook the front window onto the lip of the bottom container and then allow the window with lid to cover the complete tank. Secure the latch on the back of the bottom tank to the back of the tank lid. THE TANK LID CANNOT BE ATTACHED PROPERLY IF THE BOTTOM TANK IS ALREADY INSTALLED IN THE MACHINE.
- Check the bottom of the Water Tank and the Formula Tank to make sure each has a red auto-load gasket attached. Make sure the Water Tank and the Formula Tank are seated properly. Depress the x on this gasket to ensure this depresses and release back out. Liquid from the tank should dispense.

- Remove the handle completely and re-attach. Once the handle is re-attached, re-attempt to spray.

If the machine continues to not spray, check the following:

REMOVE THE COLLECTION TANK:
• Make sure the unit is set to water rinse
• Remove the smart mix bottle and fill it with water only
• Place the smart mix bottle into the collection tank reservoir
• Run the unit and try to spray. If the machine sprays, you will be able to see the water level decreasing in the smart mix bottle and you will need to replace the bottom tank. It is possibly warped.

Yes, one thing to try: With the hose attached, place your hand over the suction opening at the pick-up end of the hose. Then pull the trigger. The pump is suction driven, and if there is air in the water line in the hose, that is known to allow th hose to prime in about 10 to 15 seconds.

SOLUTION#1 If the attachment wont spray water, the white plastic nozzle tip may be clogged. Take the brush attachment off, remove the two screws from the gray retaining cover (BE CAREFUL THE WHITE TIP UNDER THE BLACK PLASTIC TRIGGER MECHANISM IS SPRING LOADED and WILL GO FLYING). The trigger mechanism can be taken apart by lifting the black part off (may have to slide it back slightly), remove the spring from the white plastic valve insert, then take a flat screw driver and carefully pry the two white pieces apart and blow out both ends. You may have to find a hair size piece of wire to push threw it to clear it. The whole process is really simple once you take it apart and see how it works. Putting it together is in reverse order. The white piece will only go in to the black part one way and with the spring on you need to push it through the hole and the trigger part hooks on, slide it back on to the hose, then while holding it all, and put the gray retaining cover back on. Sounds more difficult than it really is. If your not mechanically inclined take some pictures as your taking it apart to refer to.
Solution#2 If the nozzle and trigger are clear, with the trigger assembly off the hose, plug the hose into the shampooer and turn it on (if the hose inside the suction hose is clear you should start seeing water flowing out the hose. If not run a piece of wire through that hose to unclog it. If its still not flowing then the Pump on the unit needs to be replaced.

(there real good about the live chat and helping you find the part).There are Youtube videos on taking apart the shampooer, which is pretty easy. The one place that might give you problems after you get down to taking the pump off, there is only one screw holding but there is on the bottom side of the pump a black bump that clips in to the base of the shampooer and you need to stick a screw driver from the bottom up and pry the base one way and pull the pump the other to unhook it.

you almost have to open up the unit and follow the hoses from the handle into the base.fill it with solution and turn on pull triger.hold the triger in and turn off the unit keeping the triger pulled.turn off and start it up and try again.if it don't spray you might have a bad pump.open up the unit and see if all the hoses are hooke up.there should be a plug on the handle .is it plugged in.please leave feedback.i hope i was some help to you...pet

In my case when I pulled the trigger on the upholstery hose I barely got a drizzle of water. After looking at the parts online I realized the valve assembly on the spray end of the hose consisted of a black valve housing, with an inner spring and a white plunger part that sprays the water. The white plunger should move noticeably when the trigger is pulled. Since all 3 part of that valve assembly were replaceable I decided to try and take it apart. First I removed the 2 silver screws on the cover of trigger end of the hose and lifted out the valve assemble. The white plunger part was basically frozen in the black valve assembly. Tried pulling the white plunger out by hand wouldn't budge. So I use a pair of plier and pulled the white part out. Sure enough the whole inside was caked with what appeared to be old dried cleaner. I rinsed the spring and the white plunger. There were o-rings on the white plunger, I did not remove them but used an old tooth brush to clean out around them then reassembled. The white plunger now freeing slides a noticeable distance when the trigger is depressed and getting a large V shaped spray pattern. Lesson learned, I will now make sure I run plenty of plain water through the hose to rinse all the cleaner out after using it .

Attach the cleaning tool to the end of the hose.
Plug in and turn on the Power Switch and Heater

Clean by pressing the trigger to spray solution
onto the area to be cleaned. Slowly move the tool
back and forth over the soiled surface. Release
the trigger to suction soiled water. Continue to
clean in the area, working in small sections, until
no more dirt can be removed. Rinse (optional)
and suction as needed.

When you attach the main suction hose to the front of the machine, you also have to connect the soultion hose to a valve located on the side of the machine. When the machine is running, take a small screwdriver and depress the centre of this valve. You should get a spray of water out of the valve which will confirm the valve and pump is working. Now, connect the small solution hose, making sure you push it on all the way. When you pull the trigger on the handle of the hose, you should get spray. If it does not, you may have a plugged nozzle sprayer.

I assume you've changed the flat belt and it's working o.k. So, the next thing to check is the bucket seat. When the bucket is set down into the machine, the bucket valve is opened by the center pin on the receiver in the floor of the machine. You should put clean water into the bucket and install it. Wait a couple of seconds and remove it. Inspect the receiver and see if there is any water in it. If not, check the valve in the bucket and make sure that the rubber seal is in place. Sometimes they come off and stay stuck in the receiver. This will not allow the valve to open. If the seal is stuck in the receiver, remove it and re-install it on the bucket valve and test again.
By the way, if there is no shampoo in the shampoo tank, and the mixture dial is set anywhere but off, the machine will not spray. The pump will suck air through the empty tank and will not pick up water from the main tank.
If there is water in the receiver after you remove the bucket, then the problem is likely in the heater. The heater is located in the center of the handle and you must open the handle by removing the hose storage rack and then the top of the handle. There are two screws behind the hose holder that are at the back/bottom of the handle and are recessed into the handle. Once the handle is open, the heater is obvious. You will find two clear hoses attached and they often become plugged at the connections, just inside the heater. You can clear this with a 1/8" drill bit. Remove the hoses and take the bit in you hand and gently insert and rotate. Once cleared, replace the hoses and reassemble. I hope this helps. Be careful. These machines are a maze of hoses and valves and can be difficult to reassemble. Be very observant whenever taking one apart.
One more thing. I have seen instances where the screws that hold down the hood in the area of the tank have broken through the plastic and will lift enough that the tank will not sit down far enough to allow the valve to open. Check here, too.
