Weird Symbol I've lost the manual for my phone. It works normally but a symbol has appeared at the top middle of the screen. It's a small blue symbol that has a star or something in it? Do you know what it means?

It means that your bluetooth is turned on. If you don't know what bluetooth is its nothing to worry about its just a way to send information back and forth to other phones. It may slightly make your battery die quicker and you will have to recharge it. But there is nothing wrong with your phone :)

Dear Sir,

Welcome to Fixya Support.
Now a days every cellphone supports GPRS or Packet Data connection. If your phone packet data connection is checked to always online..phone always shows small E symbol besides the signal strenth indicator. So turn off Packet data connection from your phone settings.

I think it solves your problem.

There is a small symbol of headphones in middle of screen

That symbol is the MUTE, you need to find out how to remove the Mute. Have a look in your manual. Download link below.

There is a 'H' symbol appears at the top of the screen on my sony erricsson W890i. I would like to know what it is as i cant work it out. Chris Forrest

Hey Chris,
This is the logo for HSDPA (High Speed Data Packet Application). this means that your phone is in a HSDPA coverage area. Most of the new generation phones have HSDPA, and you will note that this logo will change from suburb to suburb. It will change to 2G symbol, normal GSM signal symbol and no network symbol as you drive around. Check your phone manual. It will be on your "key" for your display.

Can't hear anything from the earpiece but people can hear me

the earpiece(bluetooth) is meant to connect to your calls so that you can have your phone in your pocket, on the table, etc. the hardest part is getting it to connect, but if you have the bluetooth symbol and the blue light, you should be able to talk thru it.

PS-arent you wupposed to hear people through it???
