1958 Kelvinator Model No 227

I seem to be having the same issue with a Maytag refrigerator model M1TXEGMYS01. I would like to thoroughly clean all shelves of this new-to-is refrigerator but I can’t seem to figure out how to remove the glass from the plastic housing. I was able to take the end and central brackets off (that hold the drawers) but I can’t figure the rest of it out... and the manual I looked up didn’t provide any information on separating the housing either. Please see pic attached. Thanks in advance!

you can change the thermostat with out replacing the freezer and where did you get this model number look up correct number and the following link can asist with part replacement

What is the model number of your unit? Is there one listed on the unit?

It shows that it is plugged in.It is a power indicator light.

Instead of the headache, why don't you just replace the difuser? These are relatively inexpensive at home depot and are a simple thread in.

it could be at the lower left hand side front. remove the front grill and look at the lower left hand side. if you see a round thing there, then that is the water filter.

if not then it could be inside the refrigerator room, upper shelve at the back , you can see a round plastic about 5 inches long. cylindrical in shape. that would be your water filter.
