In windows, right click the drive in question and choose "format..." from the menu. in the subsequent window, select FAT32 as File System and default as allocation size. please note that a FAT32 file system does NOT support files that are bigger than 4GB.

How to convert FAT32 fmt to NTFS or vise verse...

Often we face problem while shifting data to USB drive or flash drive when the size of the data is big. It is because of the format of the USB or flash drive which is FAT 32. So here goes the way out to convert FAT 32 into NTFS-

How to convert a FAT volume or a FAT32 volume to NTFS
1.In search of windows 7 or 8 type cmd.
    2.In command prompt write-
    chkdsk j: /f
    3.Then type-
    Convert J: /FS:NTFS
*REMEMBER HERE J MEANS THE DRIVE LETTER.

I have a Maxtor 9NX2DT-500 hard drive for my PC can I copy my File on a Mac Air computer ( is it compatible ?)

Depends on what you want to do with the files. Data is usually interchangeable between Mac and PC file formats. FAT-32 format files are limited to 4gb in size. You cannot boot a Mac from one of these files or from a drive formatted to FAT-32. To be bootable, an Intel Mac system drive must be formatted as a GUID partition map. Most of the new hard drives come with software that enables Macs to read and write to them without reformatting, thus they are completely interchangeable for data.

How i format my 16gb data traveler

If your computer is XP, Vista or Windows 7, right click on the "My Computer" icon,
then left click on "Manage", on the left side list left click on :"Disk Management".
If your fash drive is pluged in and detected it will appear on the list of drives.
Look for the 16GB drive, then left click to have a list of option to perform on
the drive. Select "Format" and a pop-up window will appear for formatting options.
I recommend "Fat 32", as it is best for normal transport or backup option.

Iomega fat 32 formatter program does not allow me

If you really must have fat 32 (maybe for MAC use ?) then windows itself does not support doing a fat format on large drives.

However there is a fix Yup thats why they call it FIXYA

Here is a link to just what you need

Hope its what you need and good luck

I formatted my 1TB usb drive into ntfs want it back to fat32

If this is your bootable drive that windows in installed on you will need to completely reinstall windows to convert it back to FAT 32. If this is a spare drive then you can right click the drive in My computer and go to format and then reformat it as Fat 32.

Phillips 1TB HDD problem, playing movies hrough DVD player (USB)

My question would be are the movies in the right format. Just because they play on your computer does not mean they will play on you DVD.NTFS or FAT 32 would have no bearing on this. They are simply data per sector protocols and are related to magnetic storage devices. You may need the proper codec for you computer so it can make a DVD you player can play.
