Error code 52230 Can not connect up on wii to

This error is an issue with your router's firewall. You can find Nintendo's help on this error here:

http://www.wiierrorcodes.com/wii-error-52230-52232.php

One of the best ways to fix this would be to set up a static IP address on your Wii that is outside of the DHCP range of the router and then open up your router settings and configure a DMZ to point to that IP address. This will place your Wii completely outside of the firewall.

I hope this helps! If this did help you, please give a thumbs up!

  • If you are using wireless routers with Comcast firmware, you may experience problems connecting the Wii console to the internet because of incompatibilities with the Wii console.
  • If you are using a Netgear wireless router, disable the SPI firewall setting which is usually found under the WAN Settings of your wireless router.

When watching a movie using my wii console. everytime i log on the internet w/ my computer. I loose wi-fi connection to the wii. and get an error code 52230

Error Code 52230 means that your router or Internet Service Provider is having difficulty assigning a DNS or IP address to the Wii. What this usually means when you had a connection and it drops is that you aren't getting a clean signal connection between your router and your console. First step, unplug your modem and your router wait 30 seconds and plug them back in. If that doesn't work:

Various factors affect connecting a Wii to the internet with a WiFi connection as well, including signal strength, distance from the wireless router to the console and obstacles such as walls and ceilings that interfere with the signal. If you're using a G router and you have your Wii too far away or, has obstacles (walls and ceilings) in the way, it will not connect. You should use an N-Router if there is a significant distance between the console and the router or if there are obstacles.
In your case it could be the wireless adapter on your computer is interfering with the Wii. Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker.

Unable to connect to server. Error Code: 52230. Trying to conect to internet via motorola droid x cell phone hot spot. Wii recognizes phone however still I continue to receive the error code mentioned...

From what I could find, this error means that the wii is not assigned an ip address that is routable by the phone. Make sure your wii is using DHCP in the IP address settings, and not manual settings. For further assistance regarding this check out the site listed below, and if you like my solution please feel free to give me a thumbs up!

I put Internet on the wii system and when I went to use it, it said error code:52230

Error 52230 is a problem with your router's firewall.

If you are using America Online (AOL) broadboad, you may experience problems connecting the Wii console to the internet. Contact AOL for more assistance.

If you are using wireless routers with Comcast firmware, you may experience problems connecting the Wii console to the internet because of incompatibilities with the Wii console. If this is your problem, then you likely need to get a new router or switch ISPs.

If you are using a Netgear wireless router, disable the SPI firewall setting which is usually found under the WAN Settings of your wireless router. To get to the WAN settings, on your computer, type in 192.168.0.1 in your address bar.

Error message 52230 when trying to connect with wireless internet

Means that the Wii/ Nintendo Device is having a hard time getting a IP address from your Router. If you have other things connected to your wireless network currently then the problem can be with your Nintendo device and I would power cycle that and it should resolve your issue. If you do not have anything else connected to your wireless network then power cycle the router. Just unplug the power wait about 30 seconds plug it back in and attempt to connect to the wireless again.
