The lack of a mod function makes this more than a bit painful. Here's one way:
Press MODE 4 to go into BASE-N (integer) mode. If the display doesn't read "Dec", press the x^2 key. Now calculate 4587-4587/8*8 (press 4 5 8 7 - 4 5 8 7 / 8 * 8 =, where * is the multiply and / is the divide).
You can calculate other mod problems the same way. a mod b is a-a/b*b.
Press MODE 1 to return to your previously scheduled calculations.
To calculate modulo with the FX-115MS calculator, follow these steps (in BASE-N DEC):e.g.: 9%4=19 (minus) 9 (divide) 4 (times) 4 =so, 9-9/4*4 will yield the correct answer of 1
there is one button ab/c beneath CALC... if u want to calculate 7 mod 4 then... u should press 7 then ab/c 4 and equal to 1, 3 ,4 which is 4*1=4 and 7-4=3 remainder...
