HP 1210 all-in-one status:error

The HP director is working but there's one option did not work?
when you open the copier option then lighten or darken the resolution,then when you click the black or colored it say's retry...

I can print,scan but still my printer status is error , how can I fix this?

I've been fighting the same. Did some hunting on the HP and MS web sites. Found a "work around". Not what I wanted but at least I can scan. I think HP Director is gone for Vista users. :(

Scanning with Windows Photo Gallery
1. Click the Start ( ) icon.
2. Click All Programs .
3. Click Windows Photo Gallery .
4. Click File and then click Import From Scanner or Camera .
5. Click Import .
6. Click Scan .

SOURCE: no scan option

uninstall printer software and then reinstall from cd that came with it if you have it if not you can download from hp solution center.

These "Experts" are ****! Thanks to Yahoo Answers I found a VERY simple solution which I had totally overlooked!! Don't uninstall / reinstall printer drivers before checking in your control panel under "Scanners and Cameras"! Make sure that your device is listed and the "Scanner and Camera Wizard" will take it from there. Next time I will go straight to Yahoo instead of this lame excuse for a "tech" site!

SOURCE: I have an hp psc 1210 all-in-one printer scanner

you should have a program on your computer that came on a disc with the printer, if this is installed on your computer you can use that to scan the photo.

Try uninstalling the software and the driver and then reinstall them from the CD given when you purchased this item. Good luck.

When I click scan nothing happens. I can't open up the hp photo imaging director either. I want to scan an image and enlarge it before I print it. Copying in black worked just fine.

The hp director scan function no longer works properly. How can I correct the problem? Can I load just the hp director from the printer software?Printer is an hppsc 1210 all-in-one.

If this issue occurs, after installing the new version or revison of internet explorer then try to download the "Critical update to resolve an issue with HP Director after installing a new revision of Internet Explorer" from HP Website if the operating system is Windows XP.

Install the HP PSC 1210 All-in-One Printer connect the USB cable when it asks to connect

Download the printer full feature software based upon your operating system.
