My mobile is nokia 3110classic.suddenly i got a sound problem.i cn't hear sounds outside.but am ble hear them through ear phones.i.e am unable hear songs as wells am not able to hear my ring tone...

The problem is with your "Ringer" (the bigger speaker). If you can hear the sound through your ear piece, then replacing the Ringer/Speaker will definitely fix your problem. I would suggest to get it done from a service center or from a mobile repairing shop.
Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Centre speaker no sound. I can hear the surrounding sounds but no dialogs! checked connections and speakers: everything seems ok. Reset to factory settings, still same prob. I think the centre channelk is...

Well, maybe the center speaker is burned. Can you hear any sound from the middle speaker !?

If you can't hear anything from it, replace the speaker with the new ones.

If you can hear a minor sound or scratch, then the sound board inside the tv set is damaged.

People can hear me speak but I can't hear them

Sound inducers do go bad. Normal the same audio amplifier is used for both the ear piece and the speaker. Since the speak does work, it sounds like the ear piece has died.

No hear the sound in ACER 4520

First you just play the songs in VLC player. If sounds comes then ok,otherwise cheack below that i have written......

I think either the (XP)sound drivers doesn't match or the problem in your sound device. So it's better to go to the nearest service station and cheak your laptop. If it is OK then, search for proper sound drivers from them or in google.
