SOURCE: where do i get a replacement trigger, mine is

If your local Sears store can't help you, try looking to see if you have a Snap-On, Corn-well, or Matco tool distributor in your area. Many air tools are manufactured by companies who make tools for different distributors. I work in a shop, and have found that many of the tool trucks have parts that'll work on other brands of tools besides their own.

Try turning your line air pressure up to at least 90 pounds
Most lug nuts are tightened to 85 pounds or higher

Craftsman instructions

You can not use that model for the torque you require. A larger capacity torque wrench will be needed.

No torque on my impact #875 198641

If you are trying to loosen or tighten a bolt or nut the the impact just stops more than likely there is a problem in the hammer (clutch) mechanism (items# 24 through 30), there could be broken part causing the mechanism to jam, the hammer (clutch) needs to hit and then slip to let the motor turn as they are directly coupled (no gears). On the flip side in the motor there are vanes (blades)
(item# 17) that need to have free movement and could also cause a condition were the motor could have low power or cause a locked condition.

My brother passed away and i was left his tools. I have a Craftsman Model 875-71229 Air Impact Wrench, but no manual. I do use tools, but as I'm not a mechanic, I was thinking its probably of no use to me,...

The Chicago Pneumatic air wrench is not the same as the Craftsman, but it's a good brand.
Probably you could sell it if you have no use for it yourself. The impact wrench would have been used to remove lug nuts or other fasteners on an automobile, most likely.

Good luck on deciding what to do with the items.

What sockets fit

Any sockets will fit the ratchet, 3/8 drive, the impact drive is 1/2 drive, and they make hardened sockets for it. And I can't really make out the last tool there in the kit. The impact tool will take normal sockets for reg duty use but not for wheel lugs and such, they will crack, but if you buy Craftsman, they will replace it. I have only cracked one in thirty years. But I also have the hardened set of sockets. Hope this helps.

Dont know where to put oil in Craftsman 1/2 " Impact wrench

I just bought one of these also. Manual says oil goes into "the air inlet" which I'm thinking is where you attach the hose. That way the oil is sprayed throughout the interior of the gun once you run air through it.
Question for you: I can't get an impact socket onto this gun, almost seems like the square hole is too small. (yes, both are 1/2" drive). How do you get a socket on this stupid thing?
(man that sounds like I'm an idiot, but I've spent a half hour leaning all my body wight, wiggling, etc. and can't get a damn socket on)

I need to replace the chuck on a 1/2 Craftsman impact wrench.

Well, for sure you can get a replacement chuck from the hardware store or from the Craftsman dealer.
