I have a meccer tv tuner card and after installing the software and scanning through for stations dicovered i have sound but no picture i am currently running windows 7 on my pc please help to solve the problem

Hello, I suppose you used the factory software suite. For my Pinnacle card it didn't work. Besides the obvious remove/uninstall reboot and try again method I recommend you try a third party application such as Honestech TV Plus Gold. It has a free trial so it is a good way to check whether it is a software problem or other installation issue.

I have a honestech TVR Tuner card (Philips SAA7130 TV Tuner/FM Radio/Video PCI Capture) on my *other* computer. I can watch tv no problem, i see stuff, and there's audio. But when i record, i can only record image, no sound. It asking for digital singh and not instaling praperly

You probably need to install a proper fm aerial and diplexer, is your aerial a TV aerial or a radio aerial?
You need to set it for the correct TV system in the software to get the audio from the TV, there will be a number of options like PAL I or PAL M or N. etc They have different sound settings, you need to choose the correct one for your system.

You can redo auto scan for channels anytime.

So, from day to day your tuner may improve in sensitivity to reach farther DTV stations. And the picture quality can also change by new decoders downloaded into the DTV converter.

i have a problem with my tv tuner card.i am using inter videowin dvr of philips make saa7130.prviously iued to us this on my windows xp,now i am using windows 7 and instaled this tv tune card.iam getting the picture but no sound please help to solve this[problem.

hi try this procedure
1.go to device manager
2.then double click sound,video and game controller
3.then right click on saa7130 tv card (which is the driver u should have installed earlier)
4.then right click on that and select update driver software
5.the option box appears select browse for driver software on my computer
6.next u get two option select second one i.e let me pick from a list of device drivers
7.then u fine two collumed table manufacturer and modle.(note:uncheck show compatible hardware)
8.then under manufacturer select philips semiconductors then from model select saa7162 ,hybrid capture device and install.
8 it may warn about windows signature..some thing like that but dont worry just continue
9.it installs the driver.
10.then restart your pc
11.on windows startup it may show error like no device some thing like that .u just run ur tv application

Almost all TV Tuners have to be plugged into your soundcard for you to get sound. If you already have it plugged into your soundcard, double click on your sound icon to bring up your volume control, it will have several sliders on it. Make sure all the sliders are up and you should be able to hear sound from the TV Tuner. Also, if the TV Tuner is NOT picking up any stations, you will probably not hear static.

I am using p4 dual core intel processor 3.06 Ghz. Recently i installed tv tuner card on my suystem with cabil connected to this card. but due to unknown reasons sound stopped coming. though the picture is still there i am using Windows vista . My system config is 2 GB DDR2 ram and tv tuner card with 80 gb HDD + FDD
Due to this problem I formatted my hard disk and re-installed everything but the problem remained i re-checked everything with no results.

can you help me to sort out this.
